A Concise Guide to SSL/TLS for DevOps: 2nd Edition

You get what you pay for
It was a quick read and in some ways it was informative. Other than the variety of spelling and grammatical errors I enjoyed the content. I'm a newbie to TLS and this helped me get started. Could have done with some sequence diagrams to better explain the flow between server and client.

Good Overview, though the threats could use an update.
Really a good and concise introduction to SSL and TLS. If you're trying to wrap you head around certificates and web security, you'll find this short work on the subject useful. It's not the last word, and the section on threats could use an update (Poodle, Drown) but it's a good overview.

It was adequate but could be much better
The content is good. It's what I've been looking for. Price versus quality is good. The text needs some serious editing however. There are many instances of poor grammar and misspellings. Some sections are hard to understand for this reason.

Good overview. Sloppy editing
This is an excellent, brief high-level overview of SSL/TLS in the real world. But in places the editing was sloppy or non-existent, particularly in the section on SSL pinning.

Too high-level
This is a 10,000 foot introduction to SSL/TLS, and the information presented here is available for free on he web. I did wish it gave more real world examples, even simple ones.

Four Stars
has a lot of interesting info in it.

Lots of info, less advice
Has a lot of good background on how SSL/TLS works, but not as clearly written as I would like. Did not have the specific instructions I was looking for on how to set up https for an existing website.

Good practical introduction to SSL/TLS
A good book covering SSL/TLS in 41 pages. If you are a beginner or intermediate user, this book will be valuable for you. If you are already an expert, not so much.

It's awesome
I really enjoyed reading this book. The author explain in an easy way every topic and presents the more relevant information related to ssl/tls.

Page numbers?
Seems like a nice book to this very complicated topic, but there are literally NO pages numbers. How can that be??

No page numbers!
Just getting into this book but so far it is perfect for my needs. The level of detail for me is ideal as an intro to the subject. The only negative so far is although there is a table of contents, none of the pages are actually numbered!

Excellent
This book is direct and to the point. It's excellent.Others have mentioned that it doesn't have page numbers, but that's a minor issue, when you look at the quality of the book. This book contains practical advice, and has great guidance on which ciphers to use, and the vulnerabilities of each version of TLS. It gives a great introduction to encryption, from symmetric to Assymetric. If you need to use OpenSSL for work, then this book is amazing.

terrible editing
I'm sure the content of the book is ok; I certainly helped me put my pre-knowledge about SSL/TLS into order. But the editing is a disaster: no page numbers; vast amounts of typos; and punctuation missing everywhere. good info, but a pain to read.
