Cars We Loved in the 1950s

Latest in my collection of "Car We Loved in the ....." series. Really lovely little book full of period photographs. I loved the one of the Lady in her suit and hat demonstrating that "cleaning out your car's interior suddenly wasn't such a chore" with the new (1949) Hoover Dustette on the upholstery of a very grand Daimler (or similar). Fascinating to dip into to bring back motoring memories. Also lots of information and facts that I had even forgotten or never known. A great buy whether you are a car enthusiast or just want to look back in time. Giles Chapman has again put together a great read.

Hubby loves this memories!

A well presented good read and would make a good present. But not cheap. Not something that you could get your teeth into as it is very a very short quick read. It would have benefited from having a contents page so you could more easily locate a car you wanted to refer back to.

Am half way through the book so far. Brings back a lot of memories of they cars I sore as a child in the fifties when growing up. A lot of useful information and details with regards to the cars. Well worth the price for me at least as I said i can remember a lot of those cars .

Bought for my brother. He loves looking at it and remembering the cars of his youth! Great pictures and interesting to read

If you are a car enthusiast you cannot afford to miss this book!! A very professional publication in every sense of the word. Full of beautiful pictures from a bygone age and well worth my five star rating!! History Press publish superb books so don't miss this one.

Brings back some good memories
