low Grade Fluorescent rocks
Most of the minerals in this display were really low grade and weakly luminous under 4 different frequencies of light: ShortWave UV 254nm, MidWave UV 307nm, LongWave 365nm, aand Far Violet 5mw laser pointer. Most of the rocks were like something you could probably find in the nearest empty lot on a dark night. Most were not display quality. That said, a few possibly worthwhile specimins may show up. The Wernerite, if present has a nice bright yellow glow in longWave and FarViolet light. There is some Europium doped calcite that looks deep blue under everything but especially LongWave and Far Violet. Lastly, you may get some small unpromising brown pebbles of chromium doped corundum that do not do much of anything except under the Far Violet laser pointer which makes them glow with a fiery intense crimson showing their kinship with the rubies they technically are. Considering how much garbage and really low grade material you are likely to get I would classify this as a rip-off and suggest you not waste your money,. You can find beautiful inexpensive specimens if you hunt around on the internet that are far superior to these.Sincerely,Jerry
