Book World of Fluorescent Minerals
Amazing, fast delivery. Product very well packed, reasonably priced and love the info in the book. Although it is rated as a second hand/ used book, it is in mint condition. Looks brand new, thank you. Really happy with my purchase and will buy from this seller again!

Excellent
The strength of this book is that it's chuck full of excellent color pictures. Buy it together with Gleason's book and you have pretty much all you need as a professional geologist or serious collector. The pictures are really spectacular. I've been a geologist for 50yrs and haven't seen a better pictured book on the subject than this.

Not alot of different specimens
Alot of repeated stones, was hoping it would be prettier pictures too since it's about uv reactive stones.

high quality book!!
High quality paper, excellent photo pairs so the reader can see what the specimen looks like in both natural and UV light. Book is well laid out and not in too technical a language...both advanced collector and beginner will enjoy this book!

A must-have for serious Franklin-Sterling Hill collectors
I greatly enjoyed this book. It is Stuart Schneider's second book on this subject and even better than the first. The ability to identify these minerals in daylight and then have the fluorescent response next to the photo is a huge advantage. You almost want to take the book out with you in the field (I usually keep it in my truck when I am collecting).I have met Mr. Schneider personally while on collecting trips and he is a great guy and a true Franklin-Sterling collector. Keep up the good work Stuart!!!

A pleasant and somewhat helpful book
This is an OK book, with a little information on the science of fluorescence, sources of minerals, etc. Most of the book is given over to nice photos of fluorescing mineral specimens. I would have liked a more detailed discussion of the physical processes involved, as well as a good list of fluorescing minerals and what their activating trace elements are - that is, why only some samples of a mineral fluoresce. (Perhaps the author's other books cover some of this.)

Essential reading for anyone interested in fluorescent minerals
Useful information on geographical sites on interest to collectors although very oriented to North America.Excellent photographs but aspiring photographers need to be careful with both UV light source - in particular wavelength - and camera colour temperature settings

Useful if you have an interest in fluorescent minerals.
Didn't contain the information I was hoping for, few mineral name errors, but that's not the suppliers fault.Packaged well and arrived early, which is always good.
