Makes Getting Into CB Radio Easy and Inexpensive
This transceiver is a compact, inexpensive full-40 channel device that complies with the FCC requirements. I have an old DAK Mark X that needed testing and I bought this transceiver as a test "instrument" to make the adjustments to the DAK. It serves its purpose, has all of the features I needed, turns on easily and transmits at the full power allowed. It can be used with an external battery, in the car (plugged into a lighter socket, or on a wall-powered 12 VDC poser supply.

Better than expected
I bought this little cb for tinkering purposes really.. and what I’ve found out is that it’s well worth the price. It’s a well built radio. It’s definitely quality. The size is very convenient. I took a bit of Velcro and installed it in my vehicle. Ran the antenna cable through the inside of my door to the roof. Not really professionally installed but I don’t want to do any permanent fixes. The size holds nicely and the PTT sits nicely beside my steering wheel with an adhesive PTT holder. I checked the output and antenna with a SWR and it’s actually pretty on point. My only complaint is the 12 volt cigarette power supply. While convenient, yes, but doesn’t really push far to pick up much signal. If someone is pretty close you’ll get a clean signal but it has problems over a half mile in my opinion.

Nice Basic Compact CB
I got this on one of the sales here on Amazon. I have it hooked up to a K30 antenna on my SUV. It is just what I wanted, small and not fancy plus it plugs right into one of the 12 vdc outlets. I set the SWR as well as I could but it is in spec and checked the power output and it went solidly to 4 watts. Modulation was around 30%. The built in speaker is clear.

Fits in some rather small spaces.
The retevis MB2 is a smaller sized radio. It will fit in some of the more compact vehicles. The radio is small, but full of features; many of these features are not in the owner's manual. However, there are quite a few videos online which will show anyone interested in expanding the unit's abilities exactly what to do. If this radio's performance & endurance qualities are on par with retevis' ham and gmrs units, I can see it serving well for many years to come.

I will probably be returning this.
I really love the options. like roger beep, auto-scan, etc., but my unit is having some malfunctioning issues. AM & FM overlap each other. When I tried to do a radio check on channels that had conversation, I wasn't getting a response so I decided to do a radio check with another unit. When I tried to communicate over channel 19, it was also coming through on channel 12 as well as other channels.

Works great
Works well for what we ordered for which was our son’s truck. It’s a four star due to the antenna. It comes in pieces and it’s not as high quality as we hoped so the signal is a bit weak. We ended up using a bigger antenna that was already on the truck and that works perfect.
