Will definitely buy again
The kit was better than I imagined. The directions are incredibly thorough and clear. You get great tips and can access video tutorials. Paint went on perfectly and veining process was easier than expected. The epoxy is so seamless and shiny, the counters look like REAL marble. I had 1 quarter sized spot that did not harden correctly, I think I spilled some of the activator while mixing so-user error.

Great budget friendly upgrade
Overall we are super happy with the result, and it was not as hard as I anticipated. I did it by myself in about 2 days. I included pictures of our counters before, they were dark green laminate. I did three coats of the primer to cover it. The veining is time consuming and might drive you a little crazy, but if you get it right the result is worth it. My FIL who is rarely impressed (his words lol) was super impressed with them. They feel solid, haven’t scratched and have held up to use so far. We’re waiting until after our wedding next year to think about a full kitchen Reno and this was the perfect bandaid until then.I would do it again, but I did run into a couple challenges.- it says it will have no air bubbles, but one section does have air bubbles and you can feel it.- even though it says you don’t need one, have a heat gun on hand. Someone accidentally placed something on the counters while it was still in the tacky stage, and the only way I saved it was from the heat gun we thankfully had on hand.- I followed the instructions and still got lint in the epoxy layer somehow. It’s not noticeable unless you really search for it, but kind of annoying after all the work you put it.- tape and drape more than you think you need to. The edges where the counter meets the backsplash aren’t perfect, the tape pulled up some paint. I will cover it with caulking once the backsplash is done but if you aren’t doing that really do your best taping. The epoxy is also very messy, I got some on the dishwasher and floor even with extensive draping.- the sink was difficult and it’s not perfect. I couldn’t get the faucet out without taking out the sink (tight quarters) and at that point we might as well have ripped up the counters. I think it might have been easier if we had a drop in sink and not an under counter mount.Overall I would recommend if you’re trying to upgrade on a budget. Everyone has been super impressed. Just do your prep work right and block off a weekend!

This is a great and inexpensive alternative to getting new countertops
This is an incredible deal for less than $200 for my kitchen (basic countertop kit only). You get about a quart of primer and two small cans of color pigment for the marble look. You also get a ton of resin/epoxy, plus brushes and enough accessories to do the job; no multiple trips to the store are needed. As long as you are patient and careful, your results should come out really good. It will look even better if you have a bit of artistic talent.Regardless of this kit, you really do need to make sure all deep scratches and divots are sanded down and filled (wood putty is the best choice). My counter is old and had already been painted over once with Rustoleums counter paint. That stuff was ok for a while but not good at all for a long term solution; it scratched and chipped easily. Just stick with this product. I did a quick sanding on the old counter and that was more than enough to scuff the surface for the primer to stick to.I was very thorough on the sanding and filling, but once you prime over, any parts you missed will become very obvious. The epoxy coat will do a good job with gap filling so the top is smooth, but those scratches and imperfections underneath may still be noticeable. You may want to do a 2nd round of puttying after the 1st coat of primer if you see lots of bad spots. Then do the next primer coat to top it off.You have to do 2 full coats of primer; the counter needs to look as white as possible so you see none of the previous countertop color underneath. You get 2 colors for the marble look, white and a dark grey. I ended up mixing some of the grey and white to get a lighter grey color, which helped blend and smooth things out. The grey is pretty dark so a little goes a long way. I like a more subtle marble style so I needed very little grey. I ended up using almost all the white for blending and covering spots with too much grey . I found that this kit included far more epoxy than needed. 1 can of the resin & activator took care of over 20 square feet. While the process takes time and is a bit tedious, the results do look great.-----------------------------------Things to take into consideration:Hair & dust! If you can, try to tarp off the kitchen to minimize any of those particles, especially if you have pets. I had the kitchen fully closed off and still found so many hairs getting in the epoxy, so I bet everyone will have at least a few to deal with. Tweezers will likely be needed to get those hairs out.Air bubbles. Unless you are a pro with liquid resin like this, you will likely get some small air bubbles. Instead of trying to poke them out, it is easier to use a needle or safety pin tip and do a light swirl to get the bubble to the surface. Unless you live in a sterile vacuum, expect at least a few air bubbles or hairs to get stuck in the epoxy. They probably won't show much, but still good to set your expectations properly. If you want an ultra smooth finish with no imperfections you may want to do an extra step not in the instructions. I would wet sand with ultra ultra fine grit sandpaper (1000+ grit) Wet sanding is great to prevent excess dust. You may be able to use an orbital buffer to restore the shine after sanding, but a 2nd epoxy coat may be needed after. Either way, these steps are not necessary unless you are a bit 'particular' about perfection.-----------------------------------Overall this kit does what it says and does a very good job at it. That being said, you will likely spend half the money or less if you buy the components separately. The pigment colors are about the size of those 'sample' cans of paint you can get at the hardware store; about a pint or so in size. If you wanted to experiments with a pearl like tone or replace the grey with a color, then any water based indoor paint will work. This kit takes about a week to fully cure so don't put anything heavy on it until then. Even after a few days when the epoxy is partially cure, you should still be careful. This product is really good and highly recommend it.

Amazing product if done properly!
Firstly I want to acknowledge their customer service. It's beyond amazing! I've reached out several times asking questions and they always respond in a timely manner answer any and all questions! If you're looking at epoxy for a countertop for a cheaper but beautiful alternative to marble I would def recommend Giani!!! Their epoxy is easier to use than the craft epoxy you get! The smell is very mininimal! If you use this epoxy there's some CRUCIAL steps you need to take. When you are mixing resin and activator make sure you get all the activator out, when you stir, DESPITE THE INFO VIDEO SAYING to stir quickly, DO NOT or you will get bubbles!! Stir SLOW AND Steady, making sure you get the bottom and stir for 3 min 30 sec. Do not bring your stir stick in and out of the epoxy or you introduce air bubbles! Before you use your FOAM roller to spread take some painters tape and wrap it around it and remove instantly and it'll remove all lint. The video says to let the epoxy pour over the sides to coat it. I found if I poured too much over the sides it rippled it. Just guide it to the side and let it drop a bit and then roll over it with a roller. Also if you let a ton pour over the sides the underneath will drip for hours pooling.MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FLASHLIGHT after you pour each section and get down to counter level to make sure that it's even and that ALL SPOTS are covered because you can't tell unless light is hitting it. This step will save you alot of hassle after. If you get lint or animal hair that lands in it take a tooth pick or exact and carefully pick it out, I did this for up to 45 min after and it leveled back out. Make sure you're dedicating a few hours after you pour to coming back and either taking your brush (that you've wrapped so it doesn't dry) or even a clean stir stick and run it underneath the ledge of your counter. It continued to drip for a few hours afterwards and I had to do this around 5 times... You can tell when the epoxy is getting to the point of not being able to do this step as it'll start to string when you're scraping. If it does do not panic! I just lightly smoothed out the drip and then cleaned my exact with rubbing alcohol and smoothed it back out. Do not attempt to keep scraping drips after this point, this is the time you have to leave it be!! ALCOHOL IS GOING TO BE YOUR BEST FRIEND throughout this project as it's the only thing that will remove any residue or stickiness from anything. I hope this helps! Don't let all this deter you it's really quite easy if you follow these tips!! It looks gorgeous!! I would absolutely recommend their YouTube video to learn everything else as well as how to vein the faux marble parts!!

Facile à faire et très bon résultat.
The media could not be loaded. Facile à faire et donne un très bon résultat . Mettre une bonne grosse couche d'Époxy pour bon résultat. Aime tellement, que je vais faire mon dessus de comptoir de salle de bain prochainement.

Great result for little investment
My epoxy is still curing so I’ll update as time goes on.I used Giani before years ago and knew it was a quality product so I wanted to try the marble to cover my date’s blue/grey laminate. The process is easy. I’m not artsy so if I can do it, anyone can.My only issue was veining. I originally wanted a minimal look but kept filling in the sparse parts and didn’t get the look I originally intended. So be mindful and just put down the brush.Overall it looks great. We plan on replacing the countertops in a year, so I had nothing to lose.Big improvement. Kitchen is brighter. I just hope the massive shine stays. You can see the trees outside mirrored in my countertop and I love it.I’ll work on an Instagram reel for a video - @randanutrition to see it (it will be about a week before I get to it).I used one kit for this. I ordered two, and I have nothing opened for the other kit, but Amazon won’t accept returns so keep that in mind. I feel like I wasted $200+ on the one kit.

Simple to use, great results
I was nervous about trying this product, but it was so easy to use and the results were great. We poured the epoxy just before we were leaving for a few days, I imagine it would be difficult to avoid putting anything on the countertops until it was cured if we were home. The finish on the flat surface of our countertops is beautiful, the raised back edge of the laminate is not as smooth, but still looks so much better than it did before the glow up. I don't know if it will discolour or have any problems over time, but we are very happy with it right now.
