Fun book like other brain game books

Love Brain Games. This has the usual kind of puzzles with a twist of Sherlock knowledge in some. The more puzzles you do, the easier it gets!

I saw this advertised on KOHL's website during the holiday season and it intrigued me. I went to my local KOHL's store and they were sold out, so I go back home and went to KOHL's.com and found it there and ordered. It arrived just a few days later and it has been a lot of fun. Some puzzles are super easy, others are pretty hard. Anyway, I would recommend it for those that love different types of puzzles.

Fun book

Book was ok. I lost interest because I found the codes to be a dead end for me. I gave the book to my mom and she likes the book however she had a hard time figuring out the encryptions as well. She like I did thought that the clue about what a few letters are were in the example given. However there are no clues to give you any letters. We figured it out by looking at the first sentence of each puzzle and picking a few letters to help hint us to an alphabet. I am sure there are smarter people out there who could figure it out no problem but helpful hint each puzzle has a new alphabet or at least so far. Also you need to know your Sherlock Holmes read the books because you need to fill in phrases and if you’re not a big Sherlock reader you may find it difficult.

Another Christmas present for my Grandson. He will love this. It looks fun.

So much fun, variety of puzzles. Never thought I'd like the Anagrams.

Bought as a stocking filler.

My son in law loves Sherlock Holmes. When I saw this book and it'll keep him busy for awhile. There's different types of puzzles such as search, cryptic, codes and more. Check it out!

I brought the book for my autistic nephew has it was sold as a Children's Logic puzzles book. However having one flick through it, unless you have seen or read every Sherlock book then it will be over there heads. One of the first Quizzes is to match the first line of the book to the right book. That's not really a logic puzzle is it. Quite a bit of the book can be done without knowledge of the shows or books. However should your child's exposure to Sherlock Holmes only be through the terrible BBC show starring Benedict Cumberbatch then they might find it hard. If you are going to purchase this for a child I would recommend 11+ Overall I will not be giving this as a birthday gift for my nephew it will sit on my shelf gathering dust
