Malignant (DVD)

Such a good horror movie you don't expect the twist near the end, reminds me of the movie smile and barbarian, very original and unique story. 5/5 definitely watch if you love horror movies with a great original story.

Fun little film about reconnecting with a long lost sibling

Pretty good horror film. Kept my guessing for awhile. Good kills. Interesting story. The ending is slightly disappointing but not awful or anything. Entertaining horror film. Unique too

the interior camera work so far away, no normal close ups camera work. the story seems similar to other movies i have seen of this genre in last decade. watchable but doesn't hold you all the way through.

I guess reviewing the quality of the cartridge and disc would be weird so I'll provide a review of the movie itself without spoiling it. :) I first saw this film on a streaming service and wasn't really impressed until the twist reveal, and wow...what a twist! At that point I was glued to my TV and ended up watching it a few more times. I ended up buying the disc because I noticed that some movies have become hard to find on any streaming service. This movie is work having in your library!

This was a crazy story and very gory. It kept me at the edge of my seat. You won't be bored for a second.

Bad Acting. Bad writing. Not funny bad. Not campy self-aware bad. Unforgivably bad. Right out the gate, professor failure comes on the Ol video journal with a cliche “I thought I could control it, but I was wrong…” speech, and it just continues to go down from there. Cliche abusive boyfriend watches football and hits his pregnant girlfriend. Pregnant girlfriend cries and chews up every last piece of scenery on set. And that’s just the first 17 minutes. Honestly, I couldn’t stand anymore than that. It cost $19.99 to rent this piece of garbage and 24.99 to buy it. I thought, what’s $5 bucks more? Minds we’ll own it. Wrong. I want my $24.99 back. Skip this one.

The blu-ray works and has no problems.This is easily the best film experience I’ve had in the past ~5 years. The story is insane and truly a wild ride.Also, it’s shot beautifully and has a lot of aesthetically pleasing sets and scenes.I also greatly appreciate the use of practical effects.

Me gustó mucho como película de terror. Aunque leo que a muchos les parece exagerada o absurda, yo compré la idea y lo que hacía el monstruo de la película. Estoy completamente satisfecho con ella y creo que puede dar para una buena secuela.

Another great effort from horror maestro James Wan. This film delivers on the gore and scares and balances them pretty well. I thought the idea of a parasitic twin taking over someone’s body and murdering all those that had tried to seperate him was unique and executed well. The only nitpick i had was that i personally found the black female police detective character unlikeable because of her rude and cocky attitude towards her work partner and the main leads, but overall this does not ruin the film. I would definitely recommend this film to any Horror fan. They won’t be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this movie. It has everything a horror fan would like, fast paced, good special effects with plenty of gore and some pretty scary scenes. Just have a look at the DVD front cover, that looks scary enough without even seeing the movie.
