Migraine Hat

This is truly one-size fits-all. I have a large head and the other gel hat from Amazon claimed to be one-size-fits-all but wasn't. This fits nicely into the freezer and easily adjusts to your head size. It stays cold for at least an hour after you put it on. It leaves your eyes uncovered so you can go about your daily tasks while wearing it.

I already own these && reordered for my second home. Works perfectly & it’s just what I need when I feel a headache starting. Excellent product

I love this. It's not exactly what I was looking for, but it's really good. First, there's no ice packs on the top of the head, but the ice packs around the head seem to do the trick. Second, the ice packs don't go all the way around. The space where there is velcro has no ice pack. You can place this in the back or in the front, depending on where you need the ice the most. I can use this and actually get out of bed and get things done. Unfortunately, when I get migraines and headaches, they are with me all day, and the one I bought generally lasts about an hour. I just came on here to buy a second and I'm hoping that will be enough to swap out so that I can have constant relief. If I need to buy a third, I will, though I'm hoping two will be enough. Four stars for the increase in the quality of life (thank you so very, very much). Fifth star would be if it lasted more than an hour and/or if the ice packs circled all the way around. Still quite grateful. PS- the little ice packs will fall out if you hold the hat upside down. At first I was annoyed that they weren't sewn in, but then I realized- how would you wash it if you couldn't take them out?

This is a great, soft fabric cap with the perfect sized pockets of gel, which I keep in the refrigerator. Keeping it in the refrigerator is much more comfortable and plenty cool, without having to use a towel as when put in the freezer. Also, by keeping it in the freezer the gel pockets are flat or misshapened, not head contoured, thus you must let it thaw a while. I have debilitating chronic migraines and cannot go through all those steps. I need to walk to the fridge with eyes half closed, open the fridge, put the cap on and make it back to bed. Only change I've made to it, is to place the cap opposite of the directions. I place the Velcro adjustable closure at my forehead, so the middle gel pack is at the lower back of my head/neck, thus giving coolness there also. It's very comfortable lying down on, instead of having the 2 pieces of Velcro sticking in the back of my head. The other gel packets fit perfectly over my temples. It's also very light, not tight (being adjustable) and brings great relief sitting, reclining or lying down. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CAP, IN FACT, I bought two because while being a great cap, the coolness only lasts about 20 minutes and I can have another ready if I need or want another right away.

Doesn’t stay cold very long. Comfortable. I can’t say it helps my migraines all that much.

I often suffer strong headaches that won't go away without migraine pills and ice wrapped in a bandana and placed on my forehead. It's miserable. I just got my Foami and already love it. The ice packs give the relief on the forehead and also make a ring around 3/4 of my head. It's instant relief. The gel pads are thinnish, so the cooling lasts about 30 minutes or so -- should be enough to relieve the pain. 2 things to note: 1) the hat. runs slightly on the large size and 2) I recommend that you place the entire thing in the freezer. Don't take the pads out of the hat because it's a thin, stretchy material that will probably rip with constant removals. I definitely recommend it!

Based on my mom's expression when she opened this gift, I may have gone a little overboard buying her everything she might need for comfort during chemotherapy. I had read that some people get really hot during treatment and also read that keeping the head cool may help hair regrowth. This hat looked like a good solution to help keep her and her head cool, it does not look too cool on though. She felt silly looking with it on. It was a little big on her. She accepted it though and tucked it away in a zip lock bag placed in the door of her fridge sure to never be looked at again. Fast forward a few weeks, mom wasn't feeling well. She was hot and had a bad headache that just wouldn't go away. Then she remembered the hat in the fridge and thought she'd give it a try. The hat placed gentle pressure in all the right spots and cooled her down wonderfully. It worked so well that she doesn't care what it looks like on.

I like this product and it works. It fits well and allows me to focus the ice on areas that I need to, such as my temples. The cap freezes quickly and is very cold coming out of the freezer. There are some downsizes. First of all, the cap freezes solid and is less flexible than ideal. Additionally, the freeze doesn’t last all that long. After 20 or 30 minutes, the cap is no longer that cold and less effective. Overall, it is still effective and I will continue to use it.

Hope they restock these. I had a mold toxicity problem that led to migraines. At the time, I didn't know it was the mould problem that my roommates were creating in our communal kitchen. Anyway, the migraines went away, but I noticed that when I was studying hard on something, I would get some head pressure and I noticed that my head was warm. That's when I got the bright idea to wear these cold caps while I'm studying. It's amazing. It not only keeps my head cool, but it keeps my emotions cool, and that's very necessary for the studying that I'm doing. As well, recently, I hit my head and experienced a mild concussion. And I bought this version again and the full head version, which is cheaper for some reason, and I used it around the clock. If I didn't have them, I'm not really sure how I would have gotten through the first days of the concussion since there was so much pressure in my head. The material in the cap is a nice high quality stretchy material, and you can adjust the amount or kind of pressure or where the cold packs lay. Just move the cap around. I will also use the full head cap, when I'm cleaning, so that it acts as a bit of a bump protection. This has definitely been a very healing product, and I am very happy with it. I keep buying them for myself and for my loved ones. Everyone should have one of these or a few of these in the freezer for a variety of different reasons. Keep your head cool! Ps I would like to see this in a black fabric, to hide it under a favorite black summer hat. And I like the new black cold packs by the way. pps Not having a gel insert on the top, means I can walk around with this on my head no problem. As well, with the TBI, I couldn't have a lot of weight on the top of my head - so this version was helpful when I couldn't be laying down with the version that has the ice gel strip also on the top.

Sincèrement, j'ai pris ce produit car il n'était pas cher et que je n’étais pas ultra convaincue. Mais grâce à lui, j'ai pu traverser les journées de fortes chaleurs dans le confort et le réconfort : soulagée de ne pas avoir la tête dans un étau à cause de migraines. Je ne peux plus m'en passer. La fraicheur dure longtemps (30mn au moins) et surtout, une fois réchauffé par la température ambiante, quand je le remets au congélateur, il suffit de très peu de temps pour pouvoir le ré utiliser. C'est Génial ! :-)
