Opticron30738 Savanna R PC 8x33 Binocular - Black

I undertook a lot of internet and shop research before deciding on the Savanna model. Originally I was planning to buy 8x42s but after discussion with a friend and reading more about the 8x32s I chose these for their light gathering and image sharpness qualities, and the fact that they are lighter so will not nibble away too much at the luggage weight allowance when going overseas.Focus adjustment is really easy and smooth. The right eye diopter was a bit stiff to begin with but works fine now. I wear spectacles and find I can use the Opticrons with or without them and still get a good sharp image. The binoculars come nicely packaged and protected. There is a carrying case and there two two straps - one for the case, the other for the binoculars. Four rubber lens caps are included too. Opticron’s good reputation played a strong part in my decision to buy two pairs-one for my wife, the other for me....so that we can follow wildlife and birds for as long as we like. I felt an immediate sense of relief when I tried them and found that I liked them straightaway. Decision justified!

Bought as a Christmas present for my husband. He was delighted. He wears glasses and has found them very easy to use with very good vision. Not too big so easily fits in a large pocket.

My previous review was a little unfair, I've had more time with these and these are good, not bad. The images are bright, colours are accurate and depth of field is good, birds don't suddenly disappear when they fly into the distance which I've seen happen with other binoculars. There is a little colour fringing towards the edge of the image, but the centre of the image is good.

Bought these for whale-watching, a nice balance of magnification and field of view for that purpose without being too heavy or breaking the bank. Good eye relief means they are very effective with glasses.

Good robust pair of binoculars. Clear vision

Light weight binoculars, great for people with arthritis or manual dexterity. This is my second pair so I have one pair downstairs and one upstairs.

Used on horseback safari, light and manageable

Great pair of binoculars, brought as a birthday present for my partner, she loves them, light weight, fantastic optics and a lovely design, easy to focus too. I would definitely recommend these binoculars. 10/10

Con otros me costaba trabajo ver, con estos sin problemas y sin rallar mis anteojos.

Ottimo sotto tutti i punti di vista. Visione molto buona, nitida (anche se verso i bordi del campo visivo l'immagine degrada leggermente). La costruzione sembra ottima, gli oculari sono comodi (anche per uso con occhiali) ed il peso è contenuto: è uno dei più leggeri nella classe 30-34 mm.

C'é poco da dire: merita. Dalla buona estraz. pupillare per chi indossa gli occhiali, alla buona nitidezza e contrasto. Nonché alla buona luminositá e colori restituiti. Oltretutto é alquanto leggero e compatto. Consigliato.

GeburtstagsgeschenkHallo ,das Fernglas war für meine Freundin zum 60 Geburtstag.Sie ist sehr zufrieden damit und kann mit Brille sehr gut Tiere beobachten.Es war eine gute Entscheidung dieses Glas zu kaufen.

Klein, leicht, sehr griffig und gefällig in der Hand. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den optischen Seheindruck. Die Optik ist sehr gut gerechnet und unterscheidet sich wie ich finde deutlich von anderen Gläsern der unter 200€ Kategorie. Warum:Das Bild ist sehr schön ruhig, verzeichnungsfrei und gleichmäßig scharf. Beim Streifen durch Landschaft, Baumwipfel o.ä. sind keine störenden z.B. kissenförmigen Verzeichnungsfehler wahrnehmbar, was sehr wichtig ist, da so die Bildruhe erhalten bleibt und Details wie beispielsweise Vögel im Laubdach eines Baumes leicht auffallen. Viele Preiswerte Optiken zeigen starke Verzeichnungsfehler zugunsten eines sozusagen "randscharfen" Bildes, wobei die lupenähnlichen Effekte die dabei in Kauf genommen werden das Bild aufwühlen und starke Unruhe entstehen lassen die extrem kontraproduktiv ist.Zurück zum Savanna. Auch excellent hervorzuheben ist die Vergütung welche in meiner subjektiven Wahrnehmung keinerlei Farbfehler einbringt. Es ist wirklich erstaunlich farbneutral. Beispielsweise ein Vanguard Spirit 8x42 welches ich zufällig zeitgleich zur Hand habe zeigt dagegen einen deutlichen Rotstich.Wenn ich sehr kritisch bin dann empfinde ich den Übersetzungsgrad des Zentralfokus etwas lang, den Nahfokus mit ca 4m auch. Das ist aber Geschmackssache und manch einer bevorzugt einen nicht allzu schnellen Fokus. Was mir etwas fehlt ist die absolute Knackschärfe, wenigstens im Zentrum, die es einem so richtig auf der Netzhaut kribbeln lässt. Ich will hier aber auch nicht unfair sein, bei 124€ Kaufpreis kann ich keine fluoridglas Detailschärfe erwarten. Das Glas ist trotzdem scharf.Es ist ein sehr gutes Glas und außerdem wunderbar Familientauglich, da die Knickbrücke soweit zusammengeführt werden kann, dass sogar unser kleinster (3) mit beiden Augen einblick bekommt!Ich kann das Glas empfehlen.
