Another beautifully imagined and executed picture book by Pamela Dalton. These are keepers for generations to share!

We were less than happy. No music or notes on where we could find music. Very pretty book.

Pamela Dalton is a cut paper artist who uses her intricate illustrations to illuminate each page. It begins with the sweet end papers featuring a line of sleepy kids in their pjs who are following an angel into the story. You’ll enjoy sharing these old favorites as your little one nods off!

The verses vary in their length and origin, with a largely Euro- or early American influence. There is no music, perse (as in sheet music), but songs are written out in verse form. Lovely!

This beautifully illustrated book breathes new life into classic lullabies and poems. I loved reading it to my young children, who loved the stories themselves but also loved hearing me tell them stories of when I was little and remembering these same riddles.The illustrations are so intricate and vibrant!
