It's a miracle in a bottle!
I'm 41 and I've never had real issues with my scalp. This might be a long review, but I hope the read is with it to someone. I can only speak to how this shampoo worked for my problem, but here's the honest to God truth... I noticed bumps forming on my scalp over the last 4 months. They weren't itchy and I didn't notice any dryness. I asked my hairdresser about them bc they were now becoming something I was becoming self conscious about. She attributed them to using the same shampoo for a while and recommended switching it up and provided me with a list of shampoos. She also said something about a scalp treatment with mint or rosemary or something like that (I can't remember honestly) that she said would tingle and feel really good. I was super excited for a possible solution. Now at this point, I was also noticing that I was picking at the bumps, causing scabbing; gross, I know. Well, I switched up my shampoo and after a couple weeks, no change. In fact, bc of my obsessive picking, those scabs were now sores and actually bleeding a ton. My husband was horrified at what I was doing to make a bad situation worse. I hopped on trusty ol' Amazon and started looking up treatments for scabs and crap like that. Of course everything for psoriasis and other chronic issues popped up, but not having dealt with anything like this except for the last few months, I was a little overwhelmed with all the options. I found this product and for whatever reason, decided to pull the trigger and purchase it. The price was fair, it seemed to cover a bunch of scalp issues, and the reviews were encouraging. It arrived to my house 4 days ago. I did my first wash with it the day it came. Fast forward 3 days in a row of using it and my scalp is almost completely healed!! I'm not blowing smoke, getting a kick back from the company, or is someone that has a stake in the shampoo game. I am just genuinely relieved, happy, thrilled, and all the other things that when literally after only 3 washes, my scalp was incredibly improved, probably back to 95% normal. I'm finding there is nothing to pick which of course had also helped the healing! It says no scent, but I honestly think it kind of smells like chocolate lol. A little goes a long way. I used about a 1 in circle on my palm and it lathered nicely. There is no weird residue or feeling to my hair. I left it on my scalp for about 2-3 min as it suggests. I'm so impressed with the quality of this shampoo and how it truly helped me! I really hope my experience may help someone, but if this is a hail Mary type of purchase like mine was, this is where you should start!!!

Worked like a charm, great value, highly recommend !
I was constantly getting these irritating pimple like bumps on the back of my scalp. I didn’t understand why, I wash my hair everyday in the mornings before work, and at night before going to sleep. I’m a heavy sweater with oily skin. I tried multiple shampoos, sometimes spending $50 plus on bottles to see if they would rid of the bumps, nothing seemed to work and this went on for a couple of years. When I would get haircuts, I would have to remind my barber about the bumps so he wouldn’t shave too close or else the bumps would bleed, this happened a few times and got me to the point I would be apprehensive about getting a haircut. When I did get a haircut, the bumps were very noticeable causing me to be self conscious about my issue, a couple of my friends even noticed and mentioned the bump (so embarrasing!) I’m not sure why I even tried this shampoo, but luckily I did. This Neutrogena shampoo was the cure. I first purchased this product back on August in 2024, within 4-6 weeks of using this shampoo daily, my bumps and irritations are no longer! Thank you Neutrogena!!!! It’s now June of 2025 and it’s the only shampoo I will ever use. It’s a small bottle at 4.5 ounces, but it last me about a month, because you don’t have to apply a lot, and again I wash my hair twice a day. I would pay 4 times the amount if I had to, because this truly solved my issue. My hair feels clean after washing it, doesn’t leave any weird odors and it works. This $7.50 bottle of shampoo has been a god send to me. Definitely try it if you have a similar issue. Give it time to work, nothing works instantly, took me 4-6 weeks to get my results.

good shampoo
Does a good job of getting rid of flakes or other things falling out of your hair due to dandruff or other scalp problems, but its best if you also combine this with a prescription shampoo meant to tackle the root problem, as this only treats symptoms. There is a mild scent when using it but it disappears after you've washed it out of your hair, its also helped with itchiness.

Great Product, Inconsistent Pricing on Amazon
Devout user of the T-Sal shampoo. Good for scaly scalp and to occasionally remove oils that can build up over time.., But Amazon, why is what I paid $7.99 for in November now $12.99 just 3 months later? Competing retailer has this for $7.77. Why the price gouging? Same with my breath-right strips before I cancelled that subscription, when one month they were $10 then jumped to $14 for the next month. What is going on with the bait-n-raise pricing? Again, the product is effective; however, buyer is encouraged to check price at other retailers before purchasing on Amazon.

Review of Neutrogena T/Sal Therapeutic Dandruff Shampoo.
I apologize to anyone reading this review, for I am about to prattle at length in a slightly fatuous manner. I could talk at length about this shampoo for hours, but I will spare you the din. Although shampoo reviews are often prosaic and unremarkable, I will make this one indelible. Rather than abet my bothersome dandruff woes, this shampoo decisively eliminated them. This triumph of scientific ingenuity worked so well that I indulged in buying another one even before finishing the first bottle, a choice of my predilection for effective products. The price is another highlight on my list of praises. The cosmetic chemists at Neutrogena decided not to be nefarious or malevolent and priced this shampoo at an affordable 8 dollars, an act that would satisfy even the most skeptical ingrate. My only qualms about the product lie in the paucity of shampoo contained in the bottle, as well as the fact that you have to leave it on the scalp for a relatively long period of time. At 4.5 fluid ounces, the bottle isn’t exactly burgeoning with shampoo, which may dissuade those accustomed to more generous packaging. Additionally, a more inept person might find it hard to leave shampoo on the scalp for the few minutes it advises, possibly getting it into their eyes. One has to be able to maintain a quiescent state with a shampooed scalp to avoid a squalid interaction. Even though my shower routine has become somewhat inundated, I am very appreciative that the shampoo has disappeared my dandruff. It is a viable solution if you have dandruff and don’t mind using an extra shampoo. Goodbye, viewer, I hope my lengthy review didn’t enervate you.

It works for me 100%
I’m obsessed with T/Sal Therapeutic shampoo. I struggled with an itchy scalp and small bumps the day after using regular shampoo. After just one use of T/Sal Therapeutic, my scalp finally calmed down and the pimples were gone. Since the bottle is small, I've found a way to make it last longer: I lather my scalp with T/Sal first, rinse, and then follow up with my regular shampoo for the second wash. It's the perfect routine for me. The medicated shampoo effectively removes sebum and soothes the skin, leaving the regular shampoo to finish the job."

Works, But Not for My Oily Hair
I bought this shampoo after seeing a dermatologist recommend it on TikTok for oily hair. While it does clarify my hair and scalp — my hair feels clean after washing — it didn’t reduce oiliness for me. I was hoping it would let me skip daily showers, but the next day my hair gets oily again and I still need to wash it to look fresh. It’s a decent clarifying shampoo, but it didn’t solve my oily hair problem.

10/10 would use again
This helped my wife dandruff so much and stopped her from having high patches coming out of her scalp of dead skin! Scent is somewhat medicated smelling I guess is the best way to describe it but it works amazing!
