Works great without a scent!
I'll admit I bought this on kind of a whim. I'm sick and tired of waxes that make my blonde/brown/red mustache look darker due in color, and finding any guys grooming that doesn't stink to high heaven is near impossible. I'm allergic to pretty much anything that smells "manly", and putting that right under my nose all day would totally kill my sinuses. I figured I'd give this a shot, because worse case, I just send it back, right? Not only does this stuff work fantsic, with medium hold for a most-of-the-day handlebar, it doesn't darken my mustache as I add product to it, the smell is very, weak and dissipates quickly once applied. I'm really, really happy with it, and will definitely be buying more once this container runs out.

Great product
Great product. Since I'm just growing a chevron-style mustache -- versus a mustache with longer hairs -- I was not in need of a wax product with a super strong hold. I first tried a highly-rated wax product, but in addition to being difficult to wash from my fingers and my mustache, I lost hairs every time I applied the wax. That's not the case with MUDstache. It holds well enough for me, yet is easy to wash off when I choose to since it is water-based. Tip: In order to soften the top surface of the product that has become more dry than I like, I turn on my bathroom faucet to where it just drips and I allow two drops of water to fall onto my wax before I replace its lid and close it up for the day. This makes it softer and easier to manage by the next morning's grooming.

Almost Perfect as an everyday wax :)
Why? Because there is no such thing as a “perfect” product for everyone. But, this product by far the closest to the best mustache "wax" I've used to date. My number one criteria was that it must be water soluble of which it is in spades. As good as many of the beeswax based mustache waxes I have used in the past have been, beeswax must be stripped from the mustache with oil. It is a messy, tedious process. Mud Stache wax washes out easily with just warm water. This “ease” is also its weakness, especially for the center of the mustache were most moisture (any drinking liquid) saturation will occur. You will likely need to do touch ups throughout the day, if desired, with additional product to keep that “perfect” look… a small price to pay, in my opinion, to not have to use oil at the end of the day to strip out beeswax based mustache waxes. Once applied and “dried”, it can feel a little like using one of the various “glue” type mustache products in the handlebar section of your mustache. Be cautious if using a fine toothed mustache comb. It can grab and pull and possibly yank out stache hairs. A wide tooth comb eliminates this potential problem. I chose the scent free version as I’m sensitive to aromas. It has no scent whatsoever. Huge Plus. As for packaging, I like the little glass jar with the tight fitting lid but I can see it being a pain trying to get product out when nearing empty. A wide, flat mustache wax tin would make it effortless. I had some questions regarding the product so I went to the manufacturer’s home page and fired off a couple of emails. Stephen is quick to respond; he’s passionate about his products and brand. There is no doubt in my mind if I have a question or an issue (I have no issues mind you), Stephen will respond in 24 hrs or less. If you are thinking about trying a mustache wax and don’t know where to start, I can heartily recommend you start with Bossman Mud Stache Wax. It’s easy to apply, easy to wash out and it just plain works for its intended purpose.

It does the thing the best!
I was skeptical at first. Upon first opening it and dipping your nail in it you think my god this is like butter ain't no way this is going to work. You spread it through your mustache like silk and begin to form your mustache and it starts to work. Still skeptical but with no other option you continue and sure enough your mustache forms and the smooth as butter wax starts stiffening. It holds up in heat and doesn't pull on your hairs as you apply it. The only downside (which is also an upside, thus the 5 stars) water is the bane of this wax. So it washes out in the shower better then any wax I've ever used but in the same respect you better get a straw for your drinks! Or bring the container with if you're going for a swim!

Gouging price hikes! I paid $17 for two containers in December and now the price is $31! No thanks! Good product but not worth it at that price. I’ll just leave my morning yoghurt in my stache from now on.
