Bought for my shower. Very sturdy and good suction.

This is so easy to install and great for bath or shower is being older find it makes life so much easier and takes the fear of falling away.

Easy to install, very strong and I feel safe using it. Compact and attractive.

This holds onto the wall perfectly, nice and solid for anyone who's legs are not reliable. However, after about six weeks we noticed a faint rust stain running down the wall, it would appear there is something inside made of steel that rusts, it's a pity because otherwise it fulfils its purpose very well. The rust only appears after the window to return it has closed.

Needed something to give some support while getting out of the bath (with shower). Can't attach anything to the wall as the tiles are not smooth enough so have attached this to the rear outside corner of the bath. It is actually more useful than on the wall as you can lean on it as you step out of the bath. It's well made, not unattractive, and has a useful 'tell tale' to let you know when the vacuum has leaked away (which it inevitably will) - but it stays secure for 2-3 week, no problem. Very pleased with it.

I changed my bath for walk in shower and needed a grab bar for when I needed the occasional balance. This is a neat size and doesn't look like your typical grab rail. Fixing is simple and easy install. Suction is fantastic and so far hasn't moved been a month now. Can be easy removed and repositioned if needed to. Will be ideal to take on holiday or to visit relatives if you need to. Would not take a lot of room in your case.

I have purchased this for my elderly Mum. This hand rail has great suction power and works well, provided the surface is clean and smooth - and the right size. Before I was going to give it to her, I wanted to make sure that the suction power is strong enough to keep her safe when holding on to it, e.g. in the shower. It works a treat and is safe on my kitchen table (I was able to lift up the table when holding on to this rail) and cupboard doors was fine too, but that's not really what this device is intended for. I therefore tried it on my bathroom tiles and it didn't work. It took a couple of minutes for it to fall off because my tile size is a little smaller than the diameter of the device which means that it overlaps the grout joints and therefore the suction cannot hold the rail up. Thankfully, the tiles in my Mum's house are larger and this hand rail keeps her safe. Nonetheless, you have to check regularly if it's still holding up safely. The rail doesn't stay in place for a lengthy period of time. Best to check and renew the suction every time it's needed. Please bear this in mind if you are thinking of purchasing this rail.
