The seller was great to deal with. But the item is porly designed
This is a totally useless device for an emergency light. You cant deactivate the nite light function without losing the emergency light function. Who wants the house all lit up at night.Piece of garbage.

Poor battery life
I really liked this light when we first bought it. It performed exactly as it should during infrequent household power outages, that is until its internal battery died after a couple years (or less). Granted, it may not be that expensive to replace one, but I expect longer service life than that, especially if several are spread around the house. I replaced it with a competing product from Sylvania---not yet sure if it will be any better long term. Disappointing.

Compatibility
When I found this item fit to my need for travelling I ordered online immediately but I forgot to check its voltage until it arrived. It is only used if the output is 100V. I wonder if you can post the product's specification online as well so we know how to choose it. Should we sell more compatible products. Thanks

Combination night light and emergency light
The concept is pretty good - A battery backup LED nightlight that can be used as an emergency light when the power fails. The size is a bit on the large side, but when plugged into an outlet it leaves the other outlet accessible. On the top is a phot cell sensor so that the night light is off when the room is lit. On the bottom is a white LED nightlight facing down. On the face are 3 white LEDS that provide a reasoauvle amount of light. On one side is a switch that selects "on, auto, or off" on the other side is a switch that selects the face light with 3 LEDS or he night-Light or both. The nice thing is that the battery charges while it hangs on the wall and that the night light function or flashlight function works with or without power from the receptacle. This makes it a good addition where there are occasional storms that can cause power failure. According to the description the light lasts for hours (probably in night light mode) - which is the advantage of LED lamps. The body gets a bit warm, which leads me to believe that the charger circuit is a "dumb charger" that charges at a constant rate regardless of the charger charger state. This tends to limit battery life to a year or two. Hopefully, the batteries are replaceable.

Excellent Product
We use this emergency light in a darkened area. The operating switch gives you the option of leaving it on all the time or turning itself off during periods of daylight. So good, we bought two of them.

very nice bright night light, noticeably dims over time
Nice bright nitelight has a nice round shape less like to be knocked off by pets, would have actually liked it a little brighter. Have had these over a year they helped during a power outage. But the nightlight part does get pretty dim over time

Good for the price
I purchased a few of these back in '09; one I kept, the others went as gifts to friends. Mine went in a dark stairwell on the nightlight setting. I was impressed at how much light these babies produce! There was enough light to cover the landing without blinding anyone coming up the steps. The battery held up pretty good when the power went out, too.Unfortunately, it's now just over two years later and I find that the bulbs have all burnt out. On the bright side, this was on for pretty much three years straight. As cheap as these were, I'd buy them again. If I were you, I'd make sure to put them in an area that gets a little light once in a while to extend the bulb life.

I really liked these for my weird sleeping habits
I really liked these for my weird sleeping habits. They run through batteries way too fast though, so I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!
