I bought these to pin down woven weed-proof matting. 50 in a box and so good value. Not the strongest you can buy, so needed careful positioning to avoid stones - easy enough to do and stronger ones don't go through stones either! one or 2 got bent out of shape, but easy to re-straighten. Strong enough and thin enough to pierce through the fabric, fatter stronger ones (I had bought 2 types) were harder to poke through. You only really need these to keep the matting in place while you cover it with bark chip or stones and they did the job well.

bent with the slightest of tap, you would have to have stone free soil, to use these not stong enough to hsammer in, certainly could not push them in

I’ve used these to hold down thin wire fencing to keep the dogs from sneaking underneath onto the rockery. They’re really easy to tap into the soil using a lightweight hammer and haven’t moved. These would also be useful to put a net over plants or pond in place.

Bought to hold weed membrane down. They are quite thin and bent quite easily so next time I would seek out sturdier staples. However, my ground is quite stony so may be OK for softer ground. Once in the ground they have done the job hence 4 stars.

Very good. Better than the other pegs I have used before which give up on the first gust of wind. It has helped to bring my plastic greenhouse under submission it no longer is under the illusion it is a kite! I am going to buy more. It is worth it.
