I got this remote to replace a lost remote-control for my Yamaha RX-V665 receiver. Although it’s not the same model number of the remote-control that originally came with the receiver, it works perfectly to control the receiver (and seems to have a superset of the original controls) so I assume that it will control many Yamaha receiver models that have a subset of the features offered on this remote. This comes with a user manual that has an extensive list of codes for the universal-controller functionality (so that it can control TVs, DVD-players, etc.) It takes 2 AAA batteries (not included) and can work with NiMH batteries.

This clone remote is a perfect backup and replacement for our Yamaha sound system receiver. As easy to use as just taking it out of the packaging and putting in the two AA batteries. Functions just like the OEM remote that came with the system. Now the Mrs. can raise or lower the volume without having to reach for the remote if I have it.
