Surprisingly Good!
Purchased for my daughter to get used to an electric guitar. The guitar itself is of pretty good quality. Was setup decent, had good frets and played well. Everything worked. The cable is junk, but aren't they all in cheap guitars? The amp was surprisingly good. If you crank it up, it's plenty loud! It includes literally everything you need to get playing right out of the box. The strings were even ok. I would definitely recommend this for a beginner. Great little package!

Guitar seems fine
Total music newbie here. Been messing around with it for about a week. Guitar seems good BUT the supplied cord is cheap and doesn't last, and no battery for the tuner even though most free tuner apps are fine

EXTREMELY good guitar and amp for the price
I'll start with the amp, I couldn't find anything wrong with this little guy. It has a lot of power in a small case and maintains very good tone.As for the guitar, it is appropriate for the beginner. It came intonated and the neck was relatively straight out of the box. After a quick string stretching and tuning, the guitar was extremely playable. Out of the box the action was set low and the puck-ups were surprisingly good. Obviously it did not have the weight or the robust sound of a Fender Strat, but it was more than acceptable.I purchased the guitar to use as a project guitar to tear apart and add modifications. The glaring parts of the guitar that would need attention at some point is the neck did need some slight straightening. There were several high frets that required leveling when the fret hammer didn't recess them. The fret ends need to be rounded as they were sharp enough to actually cut fingers when playing up and down the neck quickly. The frets also were in dire need of polishing. The fretboard needed oil badly as it was extremely dry. When changing components I noticed the soldering was not very good, but would be sustainable for a beginner until they became comfortable "getting under the hood" of their guitar.Overall, this is a very good package for a starter. The amp is great and the guitar is playable with little more knowledge than tuning. As a beginner advances and starts to experiment with their instrument, this guitar offers them the ability to do mild to moderate maintenance and is easy to add modifications/upgrades to.
