i absolutely loved this scent. it's a nice warm, woodsie, camp fireish type of scent. and it matches with our decor style. we're ordering more when this one finishes for sure.the scent throw is goes far, and it does linger around for quite some time, which is good. we burn it for 30 minutes and find its enough for a very large open-concept living and kitchen area.

To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, I could smell the pine before I opened the AMAZON box. There is an absurd amount of pure pine fragrance oil in this candle. And it's not cut with anything either, this isn't a "winter" candle, its a "pine" candle. It's really strong. The good news is that means the throw is good , really good. The bad news is within a 5 foot radius, many people may find it to be a bit much. You can calculate that in your planning, burn this in the far corner of a room if you want a nice scent in the middle of the room.

This "Redwood Mist" scented candle by Juniper Ridge is quite accurate to the smell of a redwood forest, but EXTREMELY strong as a scent. As a lifelong Californian, I can confirm that this candle smells very similar to walking through a redwood forest on a warm, dry day. I do not actually detect much of the "mist" smell relative to the forest smell - it mostly smells like a very fragrant forest. That said, this candle's scent is so concentrated that I don't think I can burn it for very long without being overwhelmed. You can be a foot away from the unlit candle and smell it very strongly. The lit candle will perfume your entire house, and I found this rather overwhelming for my preferences. On the plus side, the candle does burn relatively well. It does not tunnel, and does not produce too much smoke. Still, the excessive strength of the scent is probably too much for me to burn this one again.

Absolutely love woodsy scents in candles. This one is crisp and clear, and has good throw.

This candle's wax caught fire about 10 minutes after lighting. The wax itself was on fire, not just the wick. Very dangerous.

This scent was a little too strong for us, so we gave it to a relative. Not sure whether she liked it, she did not share her thoughts. I hope this candle burned 40 hours like the description says, even for that it is an expensive candle for what you get.

I love the amber apothecary jar this candle came in and it actually does smell like a real pine tree! It smells like you are in a forest smelling the sap from a pine tree- gives some serious Christmas vibes. If you like foresty earthy scents that are not the norm for candles, this is a good buy. It also burns nicely- no crackling or sparks. I love that it is made with essential oils, too. This would be a great gift for a hiker!

Sadly, the glass jar was smashed during shipping (wrapped in tight bubble wrap, but shipped in an envelope). Luckily, I didn't cut myself unwrapping it. The glass shards and tiny pieces were too small and dangerous to risk transferring the candle to another container, so had to toss it. The candle was a nice size and had a mild pine scent, but can't report the scent thrown while burning.
