Exactly what I was looking for
I've used a bunch of different trekking poles over the years and through experience have come up with a specific set of requirements for the perfect trekking poles for me. Here are the most important characteristics to me: * Low Price * Cork Handle, not EVA foam * Single latch for height adjustment * Needs to adjust short enough to use as a tent pole for my tent (47") and long enough to use on steep downhills (52") * Strong These GPTCamp poles meet all those requirements. I have used carbon fiber poles in the past and even broke one in a fall on a wet downhill some years ago. To be fair, an aluminum pole probably would've broken or bent in that fall, too, but the inexpensive carbon fiber poles I have used all seem kind of flexy. Maybe that isn't the case with high-end expensive poles, but to me, I'd rather have them be a little heavier and sturdier. These GPTCamp poles are very sturdy and don't flex much which inspires confidence. The cork grips feel good. EVA foam grips tend to feel bad in my hand after a short while. I don't use the lower portion of the grip ever, just the cork area. Extending the poles is quick and easy. I like the way these break down to a short length. It fits a pole slot in my pack much easier than a non-collapsable pole which intrudes on the water bottle storage area. The single length adjust I can leave set to my preferred length most of the time, so I just straighten the pole out, lock the sections in place with one pull and am ready to go. This is much faster and easier than fiddling with two or three length adjusters (on each pole!) on telescoping poles that I used to use. I am all-in on collapsable poles now! The wrist straps are easy to adjust and stay tight when needed, but are also easy to loosen if you happen to pull them too tight at some point. Other poles I have used are very difficult to loosen the strap. Notice I didn't have weight as a big concern in my list. While these poles are definitely heavier than some of the carbon fiber ones I have used, they aren't too heavy. I've used them on 8 and 10 mile backpacking segments so far and didn't give any thought to their weight while hiking. It wasn't noticeable and was never a problem. Finally, the price on these is very competitive. I was a little worried that quality would be compromised at this price, but it wasn't. These are a fantastic deal and I definitely recommend them. Note that I don't use any of the accessories on these or any poles and don't carry them with me on trips. I just use the carbide tips. Selling just the poles without all the accessories at an even cheaper price would be my only recommendation for improving these.

You won’t regret having an extra balance pole. I use mine all the time. Great price.
Love my sticks. I use only one but it’s great, compact, easy to assemble, gives me a tripod to help balance. I’ve used it in Greece, Minnesota, Oregon, Kauai on hiking trails, beach rocks, city streets, and forest trails. Great quality, perfect length, easy to pack, easily assembled, makes me steady on my feet and at 72, a bit of extra stability is needed sometimes. The wrist strap allows it to hang free if I need both hands but falls right back into my palm on the next step. Sturdy and handy.

Great product good quality good seller
These are really great and are very compact when not use. We bought these for our vacation in Zion national Park. They really helped in both the up and down tracks to the top of Angels Landing. They really condense to a manageable size would not in use. They fit nicely in our packs and we were so glad we got them. They have very nice grip and the weight is perfect. They are solid and not flimsy in any way. They are super comfortable when going through both easy and tough terrain. They are a great value for the price. I would buy from the seller again.

Generally good but may need you attention on an area
I have revised my original review below. Why, I did eventually receive a response and they helped resolved my issue. I should also add that the cork handles are great. "Looked great and worked great only the first time I used them. The second and third time it was very, very difficult to pull the section out of the handle. It took two people. I then tried some lubricating spray and it helped but still very stiff. Then the fourth time I tried to use them the lock button stuck in the inward position rendering one of the poles useless. So I had to hike that 10 miles with only one pole. I've tried lubricating spray, pushing on it with something small, etc. all to no available. Because it is stuck in the "in" position there's nothing to grab on to pull it out. I contacted the seller using the customer care email and no response after 5 days. This has forced me to provide an honest and low product review."

These work great and are so helpful in so many ways!
I take these on my long trips when I am walking a lot on uneven ground or cobbles. One is perfect in that case, just for help with steps or to keep steady on light hiking. For longer hikes on trails I love how helpful these are! I never thought I would say that, but I love them and use them a lot more than I though I would! I love how easily they collapse into an easily carriable size they are, fitting easily into a backpack or carry on. Easy to put together and have several choices of tips and ends. Love them!

5 STAR TREKKING POLES FOR HIKING!!!
GPTCAMP Trekking Poles are wonderful! I just returned from a vacation in Mt. Zion and Bryce National Parks and, the Grand Canyon. I’m a senior citizen with a torn meniscus and arthritis in my knee. I was worried about hiking, even on the easy to moderate trails. I never used hiking poles before and they’re a great investment! On inclines, they make it easier to push forward, while reducing the stress on my knees and legs. Going downhill, they keep me from going too fast and losing my balance. Different tips are provided, to deal with dirt, mud or snow. I reviewed the competition; these pair of poles are very highly rated and well-designed, with quality components at a very fair price. I’m over 200lbs. and found these aluminum poles to be rigid and capable of handling a good deal of pressure. My wife is 6” shorter, but the suggested size worked perfectly for each of us. The superior cork handles and adjustable wrist straps are quite comfortable and, there’s an additional length of padded pole below to comfortably grip, as needed. The design is superior to others and enables me to quickly and easily set up the 3 pole sections, as well as make the adjustment for my height. The locking mechanism ensures rigidity. Just as easily, the poles can be “broken down” so that the collapsed length of 14” is easy to carry or fit into a backpack. I expect these trekking poles to provide years of quality performance!

In perfect condition a year later.
I bought these walking sticks for my elderly mother who enjoys long walks, and after a year they’re still in perfect condition. They’re lightweight, durable, and foldable, which made them easy to pack in a suitcase. She’s very happy with them and has no complaints—definitely worth the price.

I bought these so that I can go off-road as a visually impaired person. They work great. Especially in the mud
