Dell XPS 8960 Desktop - 14th Generation Intel Core i7-14700 Processor, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel UHD 770 Graphics, Windows 11 Home, Onsite & Migrate Service - Black

I have always liked Dell computers and this is the 2d I have purchased in 20 years. Extremely quiet with a large HD capacity, easy to transfer data, and very easy setup on multiple USB and other drives that comes with the system and all at a fantastic price.

14th gen for less than $1000. I love it >> very fast with alot of extras. I hooked it up to a 32" monitor & speakers. I'm in "seventh Heaven" now.

It does well enough, but it is not as quick as I would like, or expected it to be. It has performed well, and I have no real complaints, Dell's reputation is well earned. The only thing I truly dislike is the keyboard, it is not what I am accustomed to, what I was familiar with using for so many years, and it misses key strikes (I have to hit the "C" and "E:" keys hard for them to work, and my fingers often have to search for the "sweet spot" on the keyboard where I could once simply find it blindfolded. I much prefer the older, simply format in a quality keyboard, but there is no mid price model that is not very good on one end, and overpriced on the other. No middle ground for pricing. It's like a car manufacturer putting cheaper tires on a new car. Cost less that way, for them. Part of my displeasure is probably generational. Everything these days is over complicated, everything. And build quality is not what it once was. My car is 50 years old, and performs quite well, for what it was intended to be, and that was not a rolling entertainment center, very costly to both buy and repair. I drive past my neighbors whose new cars are in the shop. But that has nothing to do with computers does it?

Nice computer with little bloatware. Stock CPU cooler is rather small for an I7. I replaced the stock cooler with the larger Dell OEM cooler (C253W). Also added a second Samsung 2TB drive. Super nice but Samsung Magician software does not show all features on the boot drive OEM/Dell SSD witch is a MZ-VL21T0A PCIE Gen 4X4 Samsung drive. Runs quiet and cool but I am not a gamer. Enjoy it.

Today, I received my Dell XPS 8960 computer. This is my 5th Dell computer. Out of the box it appeared to be dead. What I found out later was my Dell monitor was set to the wrong channel. It works fine. However, when I called Dell service it was absolutely terrible. They took down all the information about the issue then the online conversation stopped, and a form came up on the scene forcing me to agree to their service plan. Now my computer is under warranty until next year. So, beware of this company's business practices.

Always had good results with Dell. Good value, nicely built, no problems with setup. Less bloatware compared with other brands.

I've been using this PC for about three weeks, and the speed in startup and everyday use compared to what it replaced is tremendous. It has lots of RAM and drive space. I'm loving it so far.

This machine is quiet, fast and easy to set up. It's got enormous storage capacity. Graphics are very good as is audio quality. This is an upgrade from a much older Dell. Overall a nice value.
