INNOVAStar Tern 160-165g

i wrote innova about my issues, i had ordered a champion groove(thinking it would be great for me) and i failed miserably with it, and every player i gave that disc to, who does side arm flicks, couldn't get that one to fly at all. BUT anyways, i've had great luck with my champion valkyrie, my champion monarch, and was just looking for some more distance. hence why i got a 13 groove. well, after explaining my woes to innova, they recommended with my throwing style, to snag this star tern. i haven't looked back, it flies damn near like a longer valkyrie, you do have to throw it a little different as it really pulls an "S" flight pattern like a valkyrie, but i get a good 75 foot more out of it with my side arm flicks. my monarch is near the same distance as this, but the monarch is darn near a straight line until the very end and it goes soft right. this is a great open field disc, i've been consistently farther with it since day one, but if you've got some tight courses, very narrow, i'd recommend knowing this thing first. very happy with innova's recommendation, and this disc shipped out quickly and in perfect shape. Keep in mind, i hadn't noticed this even after about 6 to 7 months of playing, the champion materials, can have different flight characteristics over star plastics and so on. this star has a different turn and fade over the champion. just keep that in mind. and my background, i've been playing around 6 or 7 months, i started in summer, and went thru fall, and still continue to play in the winter, i played 63 holes this past sunday in the snow and sleet weather, at 33 degrees. i love playing, i'm not pro by any means, but i love the game, have a ton of fun, and play it just to be in good company and get fresh air. our courses are a mix of narrow straights, wide open fields, 90 degree turns, up and down hills, and the 18th at the course i play at alot is 828 feet...the longest i've seen at the 8 courses i've played...

This disc requires an advanced (very hard) throw to make it behave like its stats suggest it will. It's always overstable for me, even in a headwind.... if you are powerful, maybe you can get it to go straight or turnover

Awesome grip, perfect for wet or humid weather. My go-to understable distance driver.

This is my new go to disc for distance. I can bomb with this bad boy

My husband is very happy with this disc! We will be buying more. Especially since he already lost it in the water...lol!
