Good rope puller
Great rope pulley. Lots of rope included. Use to help lopping trees that are leaning the wrong way. Easy to use. Only issue I have is releasing pressure while under load

Very useful piece of kit that's surprisingly good quality
We predominantly use this tool to pull our zero turn mower out when spinning/bogged in soft ground. Good long rope supplied so also very useful for felling trees (or for straightening and staking a tree that has partially fallen over - something that we proved recently following a stormy night). Puller is easy to use and of good quality. I noticed another reviewer mentioned that the tension can't be released when the rope is taut but this isn't completely true: as long as you can use the ratchet to add a little more tension it can be gradually released.

Rope slipped back a few times during ratcheting but i had it under alit of pressure. Fine thick rope.

Better than expected
Used this puller to top trees, that were very close to my property. The puller worked amazingly well, no damage done to the house and 20 feet looped of the trees. Definitely would recommend this puller.

End of Rope issue
The product works well, but the end of the rope where the two threads meet was taped insufficiently and came apart (see photo). Customer service suggested tape up ends or burn to adhere but I opted to tie with dental floss and then duct tape. Holds fine. Very good now and for my troubles received a discount. Would buy from vector again.

We call this a Rope Jack and I have wanted one for a long time. Now that I have it.......... and have been able to tackle a number of trees I couldn't in the past.......... I love it. This jack works really well and has ample power for any normal operation. Could you bend it up? I suspect you could but you'd need to be a gorilla to do so. For the regular Joe in an regular situation............ this is a great tool. AND, the rope that comes with is a proper match, holds the sprocket well and I suspect will last for generations. Great value for the money! Highly Recommended.

Item as described. Worked fine to pull a floating dock out of the water but took quite some strength. A bit of the rope was a bit damaged from factory. Probably nothing that affects the strength too much.
