Great Value Mini PC
With its 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor, this li'l mini PC may not win any races, but it's no slowpoke, either. In fact, if you aren't gaming competitively, it's a terrific value. In addition to that fast Intel processor, your getting a 500GB Gen 4x4 NVMe SSD, 16GB RAM, a 2.5Gb/sec Ethernet connection, Wi-Fi 6E (that's Wi-Fi AX with support for the 6GHz band in addition to the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands), and support for up to 3 monitors via HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB C. That's nothing to sneeze at. I rarely bother with benchmarks, but I've resold this model to several clients, and all have been very pleased with its performance. It feels snappy with mainstream applications, such as Microsoft Office, web browsers and QuickBooks. Like most mini PCs, this one comes with mounting hardware for attaching the computer to a desk, a wall or the back of a monitor with VESA mounting sockets. It also comes with a 3-foot HDMI cable and a power brick that powers the mini PC. Notable for this model is that the power brick is larger than average for a mini PC.

Excellent support
Update: Support contacted me asking me to buy a cmos battery. I bought the battery, and they sent me a video on how to install it. Really easy 8 screws and video is good enough that I had no questions. Changed out the battery and plugged it in. Working well again. I have some concerns with the quality of the previous CMOS battery that died after only 90 days. But happy it is back up and working. Support might take a couple days to get to you but they are good one they do. Update: Now will not power on anymore. Update: I was contacted by support shortly after writing the review. They offered to replace the unit and assured me that my experience with the previous NAB 9 was not the standard. They sent me a replacement unit and it set up with no issues and is more quite than my nuc 13 i71360P. I am impressed with the overall performance. Nex I will get proxmox setup and put it under load. I bought this computer as a home lab computer to run some proxmox VM. I received the computer and it was boxed really well. I plugged it in and the fan immediately started at 100% I figured maybe that is something that happens during set up. I got the windows 11 set up but the fan stayed at 100%. I went into the bios and looked at the fan settings and they were set to automatic. The processor temperatures were not very high. I went to the manufacture website to see if there were bios or chip updates that might fix the issue I found none.

Fantastic value and build quality!
This is a lot of computer for the money! Granted, this is not intended as a gaming PC, but for literally anything else from photo to video editing, social media, youtube, shopping, or working at the office or from home, this little PC has a lot of power, is super easy to upgrade to standard parts and has a quiet fan. It's hard to believe that this little PC has more more and costs less than half of what a similar large desktop computer would have offered just a few years ago! This little PC has WIFI 6/6e and Bluetooth, and comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. Just plug it in, get your operating system updates and you're good to go. I think it's important to mention this is a 12th generation intel CPU, so while its not the latest generation, its also not the latest high price that accompanies the newest tech. The version of Windows 11 Pro included was 22H2. This means the update to 23H2 and the current version of Windows 11, 24H2, will take some time to install. However, you can skip over 23H2 and using Windows Update (which can be time consuming) and simply download the free Windows 11 Installation Assistant from Microsoft. The wired LAN is an Intel 2.5GB and the WiFi/Bluetooth controller is made by MediaTek. The WiFi adapter, NVMe SSD (gen4) and RAM (DDR4, dual channel) are all easily upgradable. Four hidden Philips #1-type screws (located under each rubber foot) give easy access to upgrades. The mini PC also includes a short SATA cable and screws to install a 2.5" SSD or HDD to the bottom lid. Although, I would not recommend trapping more heat in *ANY* mini PC, everything is there if you choose. Personally, I prefer to use external USB drives for added security and convenience, and keep unnecessary heat out of the computer case. This mini PC can only accept ONE NVMe M.2 drive. Minisforum does offer other models of mini PC should you require two or more NVMe drives, but they are obviously priced accordingly. The mini PC also includes a VESA mount for mounting the mini PC behind a monitor or under a desk, against a wall, etc... It also has a Kensington lock slot. This is for the option of purchasing a Kensington steel braided locking cable to prevent theft of the mini PC. There are two type-A USB 3.2 ports up front and two type-A USB 2.0 ports located on the back of this mini PC. It also has a single USB type-C connection in the back. This mini PC supports both HDMI and Display Port video output, as well as a DP-supported USB type-C connection in the back. You can use all three to have triple monitor support (at the same time!) at up to 4k resolution at 60hz! The power adapter is just like what you might get with a laptop. Its a power brick supplying 19 volts and up to 90 watts of power to the mini PC. It connects to the mini PC using a standard barrel connector. A standard PC power cable connects the power brick to the wall outlet. This is all included, of course. There is no concern of a 'wall wart' or large power adapter that blocks access to other neighboring power outlets! While most home users have never heard of Minisforum before, they are a brand leader and innovator in the mini PC space. Many other mini PC sellers are just slapping a brand name on them, whereas Minisforum actually manufacturers the mini PC from novel designs and patents. Also, Minisforum has been manufacturing mini PCs since 2018 and have established a great reputation for quality and value. If you can't tell, I am a bit of a fan-boy for this brand because they make everything from budget to extreme, at every budget and even sell 'barebones' versions of many different models. (barebones means you must provide your own RAM, storage and operating system... if you are that kind of person who believes the manufacturers options are not extreme enough for your preferences.) Be sure to check YouTube for reviews and over-views, tear downs and demonstrations. Also, remember Amazon has easy and free returns (for ANY reason). Have peace of mind when ordering that you can evaluate the unit and, if it fails to meet any of your expectations, simply return it for free to Amazon for a full refund. Since no one knows your budget or your expectations, you really need to test-drive one of these PCs to truly define its value on your own. If you want to get work done and simply want a computer that works (and will likely work for many, many years) whether from home or at the office, this is a hard deal to beat! I am not aware, at the time of writing this review, of any equal or better options at an equal or better price. This is it! Grab one before they sell out and see for yourself! Don't let the size fool you! This little guy is VERY powerful and very quiet! If you use it as intended (not for AAA gaming!), you will likely wish you purchased one sooner!!!

I really like these units, bought 5 of them and boosted them to 64 GB RAM each for my proxmox cluster, perfect home lab ! NVME that comes with them is fine, roughly 5GB/s but i soon replaced them with 7.5G / s. Sata adapter also provided and works fine got 550MB/s with samsung drives. I get 1GB/s from external NVME connected to front USB-C and 283MB/s in Linux tranfers over the native 2.5GBE ethernet. They got two making them perfect for proxmox. The heat sink for the NVME provided as well, wifi 6 (i removed them) and once correctly installed, very acceptable thermal management (need to install them vertically on laptop stand with power button on top)

The idea of having a computer that's so small but packs this much power continues to amaze me. The NAB8 Plus really combines a compact design with features you'd normally expect to find in much larger desktop systems. In this case, the Intel Core i7-12800H processor really stands out by handling complex tasks like video editing or 3D modelling without breaking a sweat. The system responds quickly even when you have multiple programs running at the same time, which is something that not all mini PCs can pull off successfully. What really gives it an edge is the OCuLink support, which allows you to connect an external graphics card if needed. This opens up a lot of possibilities, especially for gaming or projects that require high-quality graphics performance. Although I haven't tried it with an additional card yet, the option is there for those who need that extra graphical power. The support for three displays is also really practical, perfect for people who work with multiple windows or need to view several applications simultaneously but again you must invest extra in 2 or 3 monitors and have the desk real estate ready for so many screens. Connectivity is another strong point. It comes with Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.3, which ensures fast and stable connections, plus USB4 ports that make transferring large files a matter of seconds rather than minutes. The 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD feel like a luxury in such a small device, and even though I haven't filled up the storage yet, knowing that it's expandable is always reassuring, and you can just add more storage inside the tiny box. How is that even possible? It is. Not everything is perfect though. A Thunderbolt port would have been a nice addition for those looking for the latest in connectivity options. Also, the plastic base isn't the most premium feeling component, but it doesn't really affect the performance or stability of the unit once it's set up. Still, the overall design is quite attractive and the compact size makes it easy to fit into any workspace or you can simply attach it to the back of your monitor using the VESA mount, and then it becomes invisible. In summary, this mini PC is a great choice if your looking for power and versatility in a small form factor. It's perfect both for people who work with demanding tasks and for those who want a home computer that doesn't take up much space but still delivers excellent performance. Solid 5 stars.

I purchased this for a friend who wanted me to build him a cheap and simple home office pc. I told him that was a thing of the past and these mini PC's are all the rave at the moment. They use minimal power so are cheap to run, are very powerful, and almost completely silent. Plus they can do everything a full sized PC can do. 6 months later, he keeps telling me how good it's been. We're very happy with this Minisforum UN1265 Mini PC
