I am a fair skinned person and love to cycle long distances.My experience-1) Initial impression- Bottle is small2) Smell is not gross or chemical smelly3) The product is white, white, white4) When applying, do small areas at a time5) After initial application, rub everything one last time to really melt the product into skin6) Sweat mixed with product does not feel suffocating like other chemical based sunblock7) Works for hours and hours. It is still slightly visible after showering even the next day!8) I cant even feel the heat from the sun using this stuff.9) Removal requires some effort with soap and water in the shower.10) Does not create pimples, rash or irritation at all for me compared with everything else i have used.Summary-It is great and works better than all the products I have used. You name it I have tried it. For me, nothing compares to the feel, smell and results I get from this Blue Lizard Sensitive Sunscreen. With some application skill, you will be very happy not getting burned or hot from the sun. The product is like I mentioned. White, white, white. When applied, it is white and fades to white. Your skin tone will not be enhanced or beautified. It will be white-ish. In my now very experienced self, this coloration is the only negative. ALL other chemical based sunscreens smell, burn the eyes, permanently fade clothing, feel the heat from the sun and feel suffocating to the skin. This in not like them. It works so good, after cycling 4 hours in direct sunlight 2 times a week, I have no tan lines... That is some good sunblock.

The best product ever!!!

I have had such issues with sun screen recently - terrible reactions and rashes. Thanks to reviews, I tried this one and it feels so good on my sensitive skin. Since it is mineral based, it goes on a little white but that fades anyway. I use something else for my face that is mineral based but tinted, so no white ghost look on face. So far so good and not skin reactions!

We only bought this as it was a requirement for an excursion in Cancun. I don't have sensitive skin, so I don't know how it would work for those who do. We weren't really in the sun and it actually was really thick and hard to spread. I wouldn't buy again, and I only bought this as it was ecofriendly and that was what we had to use for a zipline in Cancun.

My dermatologist recommended the Blue Lizard Brand of sunscreen for my sensitive screen. Since I switched, no more irritation. This is now my go to sunscreen!

This sunscreen is great! Not only does it have the physical oxide ingredients, but it is much less think and less white than the other sunscreens...and works as well!
