This does not work with talktalk router, i do have a deft phone. I connected to router then plugged the phone in but nothing happened, the phone would not work.

Make sure that you know what filter you need.
The filter is a small and cheap item but necessary. It arrived quickly and as a bonus the bag had 2 filters so I now have a spare. It fastened into the router and telephone connection. I am pleased.
