When you do smell it we find it smells like a cleaning product - inoffensive, pleasant and refreshing. The gel lasts a few days in a well ventilated area, so a little goes a long way with this stuff. All in all this product is very good and it helps immensely with smells of dog or smoke. Review: Works on dead mouse smell. - Had a dead mouse under the boards beneath the water tank in the loft which stank and permeated our loft bedroom and the first floor landing. Put this in the area next to the water tank and it started working instantly. Probably took a couple of days for the smell to completely go. The airing cupboard directly below was the only area that still had a smell so we bought a sachet of something different and put it in there (only because it was cheaper and it was a small space.) If the sachet hadn't worked we would have bought another Ona gel as couldn't ask for anything to work better. So easy to use - just shake, peel off the inside seal and put it where you want it. The smell of the gel is okay too - just smells of the essential oils but as we put it in the loft space couldn't smell that either.
