First make sure it's compatible, can't complain if it's not.Took me two attempts to program, because I mucked up the first time :)But still, even with me being all thumbs, two minutes later a perfectly working garage door opener.I only needed to program one of the buttons, but to be honest if you have a 4 button remote that all do separate things I don't see why it wouldn't work fine.Printed instructions in clear English made it so simple even I could do it again.Quality of the fob is great for the price, solid and should last years easily, having checked out what battery it takes (A27) the actual innards are top quality to, all in well manufactured bit of kit (I'm an Electronic Engineer to trade so take that as praise).Happy enough I've ordered another straight away and can see the others in my apartment block doing the same.Check your remote looks like any of the ones in the picture, if it does you should be fine unless someone's been mucking around with the original.

Bought this to replace a spare Hormann garage door remote which we lost, was a big sceptical given the low price but it programmed fine and works perfectly, and is way cheaper than genuine Hormann ones, which are getting quite hard to find now. Just make sure your original is a blue-button 868MHz remote, and you'll need one with the codes in it to programme this. If I'm picky only the "unlock" key seems to work despite trying to programme the "lock" key to do the same, but it's a small point. A complete bargain.

I read the headline about the control being suitable for several types of controllers, so thought I would take a punt, as the price wasn't prohibitive. But on arrival the intructions say make sure the original remote is correct frequency and coding. How does the average DIY customer do that.The real kicker is the one about not suitable for BS BiSecur remotes. Apparently that refers to rolling codes (codes which chage every time controller is used). I have found out that applies to my original remote which was bought in 2016 !The instructions were easy to follow, but ineffective due to this.

I've had several lookalikes of this review, and previous versions have worked well. This has low range and doesn't open the garage when in the car. So it's difficult to recommend but could easily be a one off.

Good little remote, took a couple of trys to programme but works greatt, does what i need it to do and thats to open and close my garage door, have ordered another now for husbands key ring so we leave the original one indoors xtoo my husband from losing it as he did the other original one.

My Horman HSM4 stopped working due to moisture ingress from wet fingers (the case is not even water resistant). This is an affordable alternative to the ridiculously-priced originals. It was easy to set up and seems to have a longer range. The savings are so substantial, I don't mind having to use the UNLOCK button to both open and close the garage door. The sliding cover is a good idea, too, as it prevents accidental button presses in the pocket and keeps out most dust and lint.

I've been having to put up with substandard Hormann garage remote controls for years. They either break easily or they just run the batteries down while not being used, and they are expensive to replace. I took a punt on one of these in the hope that they would work with my Hormann doors. Happy to say it does the job perfectly, is robust and easy to programme and costs a fraction of the price of the Hormann remotes. I've since bought another.

Not all buttons work, but the reliable fobs are fine.

Utilisée pour Commande de porte de garage. La protection des touches est très utile afin d'éviter une ouverture intempestive,généralement due à l'effleurement des touches par inadvertance.Le mode d'emploi est uniquement en anglais.IL ne m'a fallut que 2 tentatives pour réussir à transférer le code de la commande originale. Reste à voir quelle sera la durée de fonctionnement sur le long terme.
