Great Mic for wonderful value.
Bought this to replace a far more expensive Rode.Could be argued that the sound is not as great, but I post process the audio anyhow. As with the Rode, when mounted on the camera there is far too much whir of the autofocus. But when placed away from the camera this is a wonderfully effective microphone for a fraction of the cost of a Rode.

Not worth it
I usually always have good things to say about the products I buy but this microphone isn't too great at all.For its size and the fact it requires 2 triple A batteries that they didn't even include the sound quality is not great at all.I want to make a film and I planned on getting an extra microphone. I already have a Sony lav mic that I paid $12 for and planned on using it as an extra mic. I also have an apogee cardiod condenser mic that I wanted to use for interviews in the film since it's super clean and direct. Now all I wanted was a stereo mic that was high quality and hat I could depend on for my main audio source. After going through the trouble of finding batteries I tried attaching it to the shock mount which feels not so secure but whatever. I realized itd be to much work to record audio on my dslr then put it on my computer with good speakers to test it out.Instead I used my iPhone to record me saying the ABCs. I used this movo mic, my song lav mic, my apogee mic, the iphone built in mic and then the movo with the Low Pass Filter on.In first place was the apogee by a lot. All the letters sound so rich and there is absolutly no background noise. Now I understand stereo mics are going to pick up a broader array of sounds in the environment but why does my $12 lav mic sound just as good as this $70 mic that is a lot bigger and takes batteries. With the Low Pass Filter on it does sound a bit better. However it gives the mic its own signature which could be a good thing but I just don't like it. It sounds way too flat.I only spent 1 hour with it. But I'll take it outside tomorrow and see if it shines at all.

Look somewhere else
It's too bad that these aren't that great because the build quality, materials, and form factor are exactly what I was looking for. However, it fails to deliver on the sound. It can barely pick up any sound that's not 2cm close to it. It just isn't useful for much of anything.

Loud background hissing
I really looked forward to getting this mic, and was sooo disappointed in having to return it. The one I got anyway had a loud hiss at all times in the background, making it unusable. It's a pity, because it's just beautiful and built really built well.
