Traditional classic leather music case - The original and best!

Chamberlains asked me by email to write a review, so here it is. Rather bizarrely when I click on the review button I am asked how the product fits. I had not planned to wear it. However, for the intended purpose (carting music etc to and from piano lessons) it is too small. Not thick enough. I need to carry a couple of scores, pencils, glasses, notebook and metronome etc and I wish it was a bit bigger (30-50 % thicker), so I will be looking for another one. That would result in a four star rating.That said the case is good value for money and reasonably well made with neat stitching and riveting. The reason I have marked it three stars rather than four is that based on the Amazon advert I was expecting something approaching dark blue - what actually arrived is a very bright blue and had I known that I would have ordered a different colour.

A well made music bag, but the leather is very stiff. In order to make it useable I had to spend some time applying leather treatment products. Only then could I place scores inside, or retrieve them, without having to prise the bag open. Would be far better if this were done before being sent to customers.

I like this music case but unfortunately had to re-design the carry strap by adding another strap to balancing it.When the case is filled with music sheets /books it tilts to one side so either it keeps on banging off the side of your leg whilst walking or, if you turn it the other way, it bangs against anyone who passes close to you.The leather master stitcher was surprised that I would want to add another strap to a classic, but could see the huge difference it has made..Something for the company to consider perhaps.I now LOVE the re-designed music case!

Chamberlain have produced traditional music cases for a long time, and it's nice that they have been able to retain the quality they are known for, instead of cheapening the brand. The leather is beautifully supple, and looks gorgeous. It can easily hold the music I need to take to piano lessons, and looks rather better than a 'bag for life'. The way the flap fits under the bar to keep the contents dry is superior to zipped versions, and cannot jam or break. As soon as it arrived, my wife commandeered it for her ukulele music and I had to buy a second one for my piano music. Very highly recommended.

so well made. really lovely. my daughter was over the moon with it. comes in all sorts of beautiful colours. exactly as it looks in the picture. also great service. I am about to buy another for my other daughter!
