Perfect for large tent
I have a massive bell tent that has a really high ceiling, especially if you are short. I can also be lazy if I'm allowed to be.I love the remote. I don't have to crack the heat shell I have made in my sleeping bag because people are finally done with the light. I can just click a remote, and go right to sleep. Best feeling ever. The bug light is kind of cool too. Seems like it works although I haven't done a direct comparison since this is the only light I use now. My only suggestion would be to design a way to clip or attach the remote to the light for storage. I use some velcro as a stop gap.USB charging is the way to go. No more fumbling for batteries.

Works as advertised
Product works as advertised. Rugged is not the word I would use to describe the light. The guts would likely survive a fall but the casing would likely not.

Excellent!!! 'Looking for good quality camping light? Just buy this!!
The media could not be loaded. Plain and simple, this is it. A good 'no nonsense' camping light!!!This light looks and feels solid. I have looked for good affordable camp/Tent light that is waterproof, lightweight, will last long and reasonable in price. I have found and bought one. This pear shaped light has a green 'glow in the dark' rubber switch on top of the light. It comes with its remote control powered by coin battery CR2025. The white light is truly white and not a cream 'off whiteish' or even white violet tint kinda light. The white light has three steps of brightness. The lamp also has a lime yellow light that has two steps the lower step is more yellowish in colour while the brighter step is more lime greenish in colour. The light doesn't seem to repel mosquitos per se, but will not attract them when the yellow lights are used. The advertisement reads that the lamp is waterproof; but ironically, the manual reads keep away from water. I guess it meant don't immerse it in water. Well I am not courageous to try deeping it to test. It does look to be rain and splash prove. While charging the lamp, it flashes a semi fast intermittent cool red light like a vehicle turn indicators does. The manual warns that it may get hot, but it doesn't get hot but just slightly warm as most electronics does while charging.I used the remote from distances and it remained effective from 1m (3.28 ft) to 12m (39.37 ft), the response didn't fade.Well, I will update on these initial thoughts as I continue using this lamp.Watch the videos and photos I have uploaded for more insight.PLEASE NOTE:Descriptions, comments and ratings given are my personal opinion on this product, I have not been paid to give my opinion. However, I know my hands on review may help other buyers decide on this product hence my reason for giving them.Hope it helps,Remember! It's God who made our outdoors for us to enjoy, let's take care of it, praise and thank him for his love.Take careUPDATE 2nd of January 2019Summary the light still commands my linking it.NEW FINDINGS:I found that when the light is switched off for extended periods (days and weeks), the remote control wouldn't turn the lamp on anymore, THIS IS NOT A FAULT the system just went into a sleep mode. You will have to bring the system out off the sleep mode by the switch on the lamp itself after that, the remote control will start responding again as normal.I have virtually put this lamp through some rough usage and it wouldn't give up. I have used it in a lite rain then forgot it outside my tent on, I was very well blown away when I woke up in the morning and found the light was STILL ON even with the night dew covering the entire light were it hung. Now that shows I did buy a very good light.I will order some more so my wife will have hers and I get to have one to my self.By the way, today being the 2nd of January 2019, I wish you a very blessed year ahead when ever it is you are reading this. Thanks for reading and God bless!UPDATE 31tst May 2020I hope you read this in peace amidst the covid-19 pandemic, or as a survivor after it has left us in peace.Nothing much to add but to say my pear light is still going strong. The burn time hasn't diminished significantly. I would estimate 7 to 10% less burn time.During some power outage in my home. While I used it I unfortunately droped the light from a one storey building (by mistake that is). The white plastic cover cracked but it is still functional. I think I lost its waterproofing due to the hairline crack. Well, it still works but now I keep it well away from water.I am particularly surprised that the battery still holds its charge long enough well over two years of relatively constant use.Just buy one, if you haven't already; you will be glad you did.Remain safe in God's cover! He will never fail, but can he say the same about us? mmn?

Great little light
Really bright for it's size. Love the yellow light feature for summer time. Really keeps the bugs to a minimum.

actual review
It does seem to be a decent light. I can't say for sure that it lasts 300 hrs on low but it does last a long while. I do seem to have alittle bit of a problem with charging, when i plug it in i get a solid red light which is supposed to mean full charge. It takes a bit to get the flashing red light which means charging to actually work. this is only the third time i've charged it as i use low mode most of the time.

Works great but short remote distance
We enjoy these lights and have used them a few evenings already. So far there is no issues. The only problem in general is the remote controls (any works on all lights) are extremely short range. Think 20ish feet if totally unobstructed. This means anything beyond "above your tent door" does not work as planned. I just keep the remote in my pocket and walk up towards each light to use them.

Best Buy - Highly Recommend
This light's brightest mode was very bright, and there were 5 different settings - 3 regular and 2 bug light brightness modes.. The remote was great because I could turn the light off from inside my sleeping bag when I'm was ready, and I could switch brightness w/the remote as well. The light has a clasp that allowed me to hang it directly from the inside top of my tent. The remote isn't small, but it has a spot to hook it onto your key chain if you're like me and lose everything while you're camping. Finally, the light itself (not the remote) is USB charge only, which is kind of nice. You can just charge it up in your car if it runs low while you're out.Usage directions were not necessary. The light bulb shape is a nice touch. I feel like the the company did an especially good job w/the design and manufacturing, unlike cheaper options. This has only been used on one camping trip so far, but I'm extremely pleased with it at this point. It seems very quality to me - I am SUPER happy with this purchase.

One remote to control them all!
Fab lights! I use three in the hay barn which doesn't have electric. I particularly like them being remote controlled so I don't have to search for the switch in the dark.
