amazing book that will teach you how to get better again!
This is an amazing book that I highly recommend to anyone suffering from anxiety, CFS or fibromyalgia. I bought in 2014 as I was desperate to get better, having come down ill with a mysterious illness which was CFS. Determined to get myself out of that miserable situation I had found myself in (after having all medical tests one can ever had and all coming back normal), I found this book. It was so illuminating and clear what I needed to do to get better. If you are unwell with CFS, anxiety, or fibromyalgia, please don't despair. you will get better and be your old self again! don't believe anyone who says that you cant. buy this book and if you are able get support from Dr John Eaton via Skype or directly in the UK if you are there.

why rated so high ?
how are people rating this book so high, "reverse therapy a cure for cfs", the title and book/reviews are so misleading.ive been suffering cfs for 3 years this book is not a cure really doesnt give any thing from reverse theraphy the whole book talks about the history of cfs and other doctors work , it explains none stop the benifits of reverse therapy, but doesnt actual give any of the reverse therapy out , every chaptar ishow reverse therapy works/cure yr cfs then the chaptar is full of how great its is , followed by the next chaptar now we will look at reverse theraphy and so on....it never gets the the reverse therapy or how it , and how to use it , the whole book leads u up to the final page of come to see dctor blah blah and receive reverse theraphy great why write a book based on an business card.the only way it gets 2 stars is due to the info on previous studies from doctors and the info on -WHAT- might cause it , its lso a good book if u are thinking of recieving reverse theraphy and wanna know more before you agree/start reverse therapy.THIS BOOK WILL NOT CURE YOUR CFS.

Helpful, but not magic
I read the book a year ago, and I've been going to Reverse Therapy sessions for about 6 months. I'm about 10 percent better, and I will persevere as that's more benefit than I've gotten from anything else. I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about trying Reverse Therapy, and I would recommend it to anyone with CFS to have as a tool. Reading it in conjunction with John Sarno and Freedom From Fibromyalgia (Selfridge and Peterson) will help.

The best book ever written on CFS/M.E.
I suffered from CFS for 13 years, but now I am recovered. Reading Dr. Eaton`s book gave me very valuable and vital clues about the process of recovery. The book is almost sufficient to treat the condition by yourself and I would recommend it to anyone suffering with CFS/M.E. or fibromyalgia. It gives a detailed overview of Reverse Therapy and how it developed from earlier theories of eminent psychologists and therapists. In addition to giving a good theoretical basis for understanding RT, this book gives a lot of practical information as well. The book gives you a good understanding of Reverse Therapy, but is a bit lacking in instructions on how to treat the condition by yourself. But I assure you: you can get well with the help of this book. I used some additional sources to learn about the process, but I would say that if you read this book, you only need a bit of outside support to get well. Which is not to say that the therapy is useless, ofcourse. If you have a chance, attend the sessions, but by all means, read the book first! This book is THE BEST book ever written on CFS! Dr. Eaton has done a wonderful job. Thank you for your invaluable work!

The Cure
It's difficult to look back coherently at my treatment and cure (it took four sessions and 40 days) as it happened so quickly. This book is probably the best starting point when looking into Reverse Therapy as it is clear and concise (and not too long!) and manages to explain complexed ideas with simple analogies making it easy to digest. It seems ludicrous to me that so little is known about this in the M.E Community, and I'm still recieving the M.E magazine which raves about fish oils and homeopathy improving things a tiny bit, rather than actually looking for a cure. That cure is here. Really. When reading this book I'd advise an open mind (I was a little cynical at first.) It's not some wild miracle cure, with healing dust and golden balls, it's common sense applied to an uncommon illness.Just give it a go, there's really nothing to lose, and if you have M.E like I did, you've got plenty of time on your hands.

A really good read!
A must for anyone who wants to find out the cure for M.E, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Although it seems hard to believe, Dr Eaton really has found the answer, which he describes in this book. He explains how the problem relates to a glandular disorder which is triggered by the Bodymind's need to signal distress and call for action. Reverse therapy teaches people to "read" the symptoms and understand what needs to be done to recover health.Although Dr Eaton writes that the book was written for people who are thinking of undergoing Reverse therapy it will also be of interest to anybody who wishes to understand more about these illnesses - patients and health professionals alike. It is clearly written with lots of examples of the process in action.Reverse therapy is an amazing discovery and I found the book absolutely fascinating.

Not helpful at all
Although he insists this is not psychotherapy, this seemed to me just another Doctor telling his mostly female patients that their symptoms were all in their head, with emotional and psychological causes. I can tell you, after finally (45 years) finding the cause of my chronic fatigue (autoimmune disease) and successfully treating it ( fermented foods to fix the gut and be able to digest properly and absorb nutrients), this illness was most certainly not "in my head"and had very little to do with headmind or bodymind.

worth reading
Thought provoking with tangible strategies for you to try yourself definitely worth reading with an open mind.

I bought this for a friend
I bought this for a friend as I have already bought the book and done the therapy several years ago, it helped a lot and the information is easy to understand and follow. A lot of my M.E. symptoms were turned off by following therapy, I later booked several sessions, no longer needed hours in bed and often do not sleep at all in the day now. I also had increased energy, sadly I later developed a thyroid disorder and the medication is not working well for me. But I still am free of the debilitating M.E. symptoms and have a capacity to listen to loud music, stay on the computer for long periods and read for hours, and sand and shabby chic paint a chest of drawers. Definitely recommended read.

Three Stars
some interesting information, but essentially rehashed psychoanalytic theory on psychosomatic disorders

Fabulous book and feels like the cloud of cfs is starting to lift
Loved reading this book, felt I was somehow Deane to it when checking books on cfs again here on Amazon. Having been with this dreadful illness for 4.5 years, tried many things, spent a lot of money and received poor card from a fatigue specialist, I have now found the missing piece of my jigsaw. Really looking forward to my appointment for reverse therapy and getting my life back.

Good theory
I found this book a bit hippy-ish initially and thought the book, and the approach would not be for me. I kept reading though, and as the science behind the theory is explained it does begin to make a lot of sense. I am going to find out if I am suitable for Research therapy, so would very much recommend anyone to read this book. The only downside is some of the explanations are a bit "hippy" and there is quite a few spelling/ grammar mistakes.
