Let there be light
These replacement bulbs work as expected. They're well packaged and arrived in tact. They just replaced the previous set and did their job. I think they're a little expensive but such is the life of luxury

Work pretty well, good color temp
Who makes a better LED than Philips? The added motion sense on these make it great for the garage or front porch or a closet, where you can just leave the switch flipped on and not stress. That said, I imagine some fixtures give the sensor some trouble, the motion detection seems to not have the greatest flexibility in range. I've tried it in multiple areas around the house, some places it works perfectly, others I'm having to either be in a really specific area or wave my arms around to trigger it. The color temp is in my preferred range, way too many people putting bulbs that are overly white or blue and it's just uncomfortable and cold. These give an almost incandescent feel and I'm very happy with that.

Motion sensor 60 Watt LED bulbs (4) pack
I use these motion sensor LED bulbs in the entry way light fixtures at home and rental properties. They have a night sensor built in so they only work after dusk. As someone walks up the light turns on and plenty of time to illuminate the walkway and entrance doors. Because they’re LEDs, they use a fraction of the electricity compared to tungsten or halogen bulbs with the same amount of light as a 60 Watt bulb but only using 9 watts of electricity. The color tint is warm white so it mimics a standard tungsten lightbulb.

Pointed UP
I couldn't get this to work well at all. Unless I waved my hand directly on top of it, it just didn't trigger, not for lamps or in the bathroom or in the hallway. The motion sensitivity just doesn't seem ideal for most places to use this with. It certainly didn't work in clusters either. One would turn on but the other two would. I have yet to find a place where this works with just... walking by. I really liked the idea of it, but without the extra effort to make them trigger, it's not worth it.This would have been great for the guest bath, be standing on a ladder and looking down at them still didn't get any of them trigger until i waved my hand around right above it. I will just stick with scheduled smart lights for now.

Works best in certain situations, locations
I had no idea such a thing as a motion detection light bulb existed until I saw the listing for this 4-pack of soft white Motion Sensor LEDs and immediately ordered them as I had been looking for some type of fixture for my closet but hated the thought of having to run an extension cord to the nearest outlet to operate it. The perfect fit for my situation. Now let me clarify that my existing single bulb fixture is at the top center of the ceiling in my good sized closet and operates with a pull string (the house is almost 100 years old). So all I had to do was to replace the existing LED with this motion sensing one and turn it on with the pull string. Then I had to tuck away the pull string to avoid using the muscle memory that always reaches for the string. Duh. Really hard to break old habits. It has been 100% successful, 100% of the time, and is perfect. The next closet though is a different story. The fixture for that one is located on the wall (not the ceiling as in the first example) just above the door and it too operates with a pull string. That particular location (and a third closet is the same way), tends to not come on until you have fully stepped into the closet and even then it seems like I have to sometimes wave my arms to get it to turn on. I suspect that it is all in the angle of the motion sensor specified in the second pic that describes it as 85 degrees angle and within a 20 foot radius. I think that if these other two closets had their fixtures on the ceilings as is the one in my bedroom, that I would not have this issue. Obviously, you cannot use the bulbs inside a globe type fixture - they won't work if covered. Still contemplating how to get around the issue without having to totally rewire the fixture. The color is excellent and is reported to have 90+ CRI and at 8.8 Watts is a real energy saver and produces a very bright 800 Lumens. Be sure to consider the limitations when thinking of purchasing any motion sensing LED bulb. Position, coverings, etc., all need to be in the decision making process. Recommend for those who have the right angle.

Finnicky bulbs
Unfortunately, these bulbs seem to be very inconsistent. It's already a huge downside that these can't be used with any kind of cover and need to be just bare bulbs, but even when you do that, it seems to not work very well. The concept for these are a great idea, but I think they need to go back to the drawing board with this one.

Works Inisde and Outside
Firstly, the product description is spot on. The motion detection works over an approximate 90 deg field of view and for a large distance (depending on the height of the installation). After motion is detected, the light stays on for a minute. If used as a porch light, the light will not turn on during the daytime. If used in a windowless closet and power to the lamp fixture comes from a switch, the switch can be left in the ON position and the light will go out when the closet door is closed.Over 20 years ago, I installed a separate motion detector device to work with an exterior light fixture over the garage door to illuminate the driveway when a vehicle or person approached (this was before motion detection lamp housings were available). The motion detector finally died and instead of replacing it, I wired around the motion detector and now the replaced light bulb and motion detection are one unit. Being able to re-use the fixture and not having to replace it with new a motion detection lamp housing or needing to replace the dead motion detector device, is well worth the cost of the bulb.I highly recommend this motion detection light bulb.
