Brodies Scottish Afternoon tea is blended in Scotland. Brodies Scottish Afternoon tea is a mellow blend of quality teas from India, Ceylon and Kenya. The tea is soothing and refreshing. Since the 1930s, Brodies Scottish Afternoon Tea has been blended in Scotland's capital city. A black tea, Scottish Afternoon Tea is a blend of teas from India, Ceylon and Kenya tea leaves. Ceylon tea leaves are used to make the tea light and refreshing. Kenyan tea leaves give the tea is bright edge. Although Brodies may be unfamiliar to many tea drinkers outside of Scotland, the company makes distinctly Scottish Teas. Scottish Afternoon is definitely a Scottish Tea. It is smooth and full-bodied. The package of Brodies Famous Edinburgh comes in the distinctive drum. The drum holds 50 tea bags. The drum is approximately 7 inches high and 3 inches around. Each tea bag weighs 2.5 grams. The tea bags come in the traditional square shape and measure approximately 2 ½ inches in length and 2 ½ inches in width. I love Scottish teas. Brodies Teas are still blended and packed in Scotland. Brodies is still a family business and has been importing and blending teas since 1867. Brodies started in Leith, Scotland where once tea clippers landed their cargoes. In 2002, Brodies moved to a purpose-built production unit in Musselburgh, Scotland with a state-of-the-art facilities. Ever since William Brodie started the business in 1867, his passion for quality has endured and as the company has grown and diversified the ideals remain the same - that excellence is only achieved by using the very best ingredients available. This is How I Make Perfect Cup of Brodies Scottish Afternoon Tea For a black tea, such as Scottish Afternoon, bring water to a rolling boil. Always use fresh water every time you make tea. Place the tea bag your the mug or pot and pour in the boiling water. Let steep for 3 to 5 minutes and then remove the tea bag. Add a sweetener if you like. Brodies Scottish Afternoon tea can be taken plain or with milk or lemon, whichever way you prefer.

I think this may be the best of the Scottish Afternoon Teas of the different brands. Sure, it makes a great cuppa black tea any time. It’s a smooth, robust tea with great flavor. But, it makes the best ice tea I’ve ever tasted. I mix it in a large canning jar, maybe a quart size or larger, throw in 3 or 4 tea bags, and fill the container with hot tap water. Then it goes in the refrigerator and brews itself. Perfect.
