Seavenger Cadet Kids 2mm Shorty Wetsuit

Runs slightly small, but is overall relatively pretty. However, when my daughter tried it on, she found that the arm seem was very irritating. When I looked at it inside-out it looks like the seam was not finished directly under the arms, leaving a somewhat uncomfortable prickly area where the seam abruptly ends. I tried to take a picture, but not sure how well it came out.Now, for kids that are not at all sensitive, this wetsuit might work well, just not mine :-)

Our 3 year old boy was taking indoor swimming lessons but the water was too cold for him. After the first class he said he didn't want to go back in again and he meant it at the second class when he simply refused to go in. This light wet suit salvaged his lessons and in fact even if he just went to one more lesson it would have been worth it. The fact is the cold was no longer a factor and he became very comfortable in the water and didn't miss another class again Downsides: The material is a little rough but probably not any different than any other wetsuits. Also there is a slight odor similar to the ones on the dri-fit type clothes. Overall it was worth the investment and I'd recommend it.

4T fits a 30 pound, 37 inch girl with some room to spare in body length. However the legs are enormous...cannot imagine that anyone with legs that big in diameter would ever fit in the torso. It will work though, and it has some nice workmanship.

I bought these after a trip to a water park where my kids were complaining of being cold. This suits added a little bit of warmth, so the kids had a better time. The 4 star review is that there is a little looseness around the legs, so it is not as fitted as it could be to keep them as warm as they could be - but these are way better than just wearing a bathing suit. Easy on and off for potty trips too. :)

Looks great (5 star, even my son thought it looks really cool) but there is some gaping at the thigh and my son is very average sized. 6x fits him but he will easily outgrow it in 1 year (in the torso length, not the width of the suit). He's a 6 year old, 50%ile for most everything, and 49lbs. There is a bit of room in the torso, but not too much. I just wish there wasn't the gap at the thigh. Definitely helps keep him warm for swim lessons so he's focused more on what the instructor is saying and not shivering. Good quality zipper too, and I like that it's in the front, not the back.

Looks cute but has large gaps in thigh area.We got this suit for our 6 year old to take to watersports camp. Normally we buy wetsuits at our local surf resale shop, but they dont carry her size. The suit fit her great, but it does not have any seal to draw it into the thighs. The sleeves are also swimsuit material. Together, this meant water just washed straight up into the suit, and she was cold. She said it was warmer than a swimsuit alone, but it certainly didn't have the warmth we were hoping for. Wound up finding a used size 6 shorty that works much better.

This product definitely runs small. My son weighs 45 pounds and is 48 inches tall and the size chart (shown in the product pictures) says he should fit in the 6/6x size. When he tried it on he put his legs in and then there was no way we could get it over his shoulders. But when we got the size 7/8 it fits him perfectly. He's autistic with sensory issues and he thinks this is comfy and now he'll swim in the "cold" pool. It's great once you find the size that fits!

Size was right but if you have a child with thin legs the openings will be wider then their leg. Works great to keep my son warm in the competitive swim pool he swims in which is cooler then most indoor pools. Water gets in through the legs but he said it still makes him feel warm.
