Genius!
If you live in a windy area or have poison ivy to kill that is wound up among English ivy it other plants that you don't want to kill, this is the perfect application method. It does kill poison ivy, btw. You just have to wait a little.

Failed Applicator
None - zero out of three - of the applicators worked. I opened the container and dumped out the gel to use it. The gel will definitely kill whatever it contacts. But the delivery system is fatally flawed.

Not good in the heat.
Great idea, clearly wasn't tested above 85 degrees! In order to get it out you have to turn it upside down and shake it like ketchup. Pulled the lid off, 87 here today and the stuff is thinner than pudding. Unless you can keep it cool I wouldn't buy.

Valuable Roundup formulation
This is a very hand formulation for applications to remove stubborn volunteer tree growth.

No Luck With the Clicker.
It says you need to do at least 20 clicks of the button on the tube to get the gel to protrude through the cap. Well, I clicked a lot more than 20 times without any gel coming through. So I did a little whip of the tube downward and got the gel. I had to whip it again for the next use. The clicking doesn't work. Not sure if it is suppose to be refrigerated. Waiting to see if it works. RoundUp is a great product. I know it works. I am hoping these gel applicators do. Probably like you, I am not crazy about flinging RoundUp.

It works
I have been using this product for a few years, mostly on grasses that creep into my ground cover. It does take 2=3 weeks to work completely.

Defective product
The bottles are either empty or broken, the gel does not come out no matter how many times I use the clicker.

Mechanism is difficult to operate for small hands
The concept is nice, a controllable gel for precise application. But sometimes not enough gel came out when I pushed the stiff button, and other times too much gel came out. It is difficult to control the amount of product, especially when wearing rubber gloves - it gets very slippery. I couldn't avoid it dripping onto some good plants. I have small hands which made it difficult to hold the container which is oblong in shape with the button at the end of the wide part. Might be okay for someone with very large hands. Might have been easier if the container was round or contoured. You have to keep pushing the stiff button to release the gel. You might get a lot of gel or no gel, it was not a consistent flow. Even though I wore rubber gloves, I ended up getting it all over my hands and running down my arms. It was very messy. It wasn't easy to control the amount of gel being dispensed. It wasn't very effective on 40% of the ivy I was treating. I'm now paying a gardener to deal with the ivy, which I should have done in the first place.
