all flashlight not created equal
Having bought a number of these flashlights, I can tell you that, even though they tend to look the same, they are not all created equal--and this brand is the best I've found. Not only is this an excellent value for two flashlights and two holsters, but the flashlights themselves are better in two categories: functionality and quality. In functionality, most offer the same features, the different modes of brightness, flashing etc. Personally, I just want it to turn on and off, I don't see ever using the other modes--and that's exactly what these lights do: one click on, one click off. With other lights you have to click multiple times to "cycle" though all the different modes each time you want to just turn it on and off. I know, crazy, right? And a royal pain in the rear. Also, the holster is a huge plus. I actually used a holster from a different product, but now I don't need to as these come with their own, which you can attach "permanently" by running it through your belt, or "temporarily" with a Velcro loop. Way handier than stuffing it in a pocket... My only gripe is that the holster is soft-sided so it's a little tough to "stuff" the light down into it when it's on your belt, but the more rigid one I was using cost as much as the light plus the holster so who can complain? Quality-wise, this flashlight is also superior. It is simply machined better than some of the others I've tried. Screwing and unscrewing the compartment to get to the battery compartment is smooth and easy, as opposed to other brands where the threading broke down and opening/closing the compartment became impossible... One caveat: these little guys eat through batteries pretty quick. I have of their flashlights with a rechargeable battery, so I use that in these same flashlights, otherwise is can become costly real quick. I imagine one can purchase the rechargeable battery systems separately as well, but I would highly recommend that if you are planning on using these a lot (like daily, as I do). As I said, I already had the rechargeable, so for me this 2-pack was an amazing value. In summation, better functionality, quality, and a great value with two flashlights and holsters for a great Amazon price makes this deal the way to go over the lookalike competitors. But it's worth investing in a rechargeable battery to really make it pay off...

Bright, Durable, and Great for Everyday Use
These flashlights are impressively bright and feel solid in the hand without being too heavy. The five light modes are easy to switch through, and the zoom feature is great for both wide and focused beams. I like that each flashlight comes with its own holster, making them convenient to store or carry. The build quality feels durable enough for emergencies, outdoor use, or just keeping around the house. A reliable set at a great value.

Small and compact
Nice little flashlight. Takes a single AA battery. Easy one hand beam adjustment. Only complaint is that it could be brighter.

Well made bright flashlight
Excellent set of flashlights. They are solidly made and have a substantial feel in the hand. A single button on the end to switch on and off, so there is no need to cycle through several other settings just to get a bit of light. The clip feels snug, but is removable if you prefer. The sliding feature to narrow the light beam is easy to move in and out but snug enough to not move on it's own. The light is very bright and reaches a long way. The brightness, small size, adjustable beam, and need for only one battery make this flashlight a great choice. Highly recommend!

Does the job.
NEEDS: * Use a single AA battery to save money over alternatives. PROS: * Single AA battery is all that is needed. * Works with rechargeable batteries. * Priced very affordably. * Can focus the beam. * Gets the job done. * Is actually made of metal, seems durable. * Comes with pocket/belt clip on it. CONS: * Not as bright as single-AA flashlights I've used in the past, but it gets the job done. SUMMARY: Overall, a seemingly good product that does what it claims. Build quality should definitely help with preventing any physical damage, but we'll see how the more delicate electronic portions, such as the on/off switch, hold up over time. For around the house and yard it's fine, but if you need maximum brightness and long-range clarity, then you'll need something better. I specifically bought this for around the house and occasional night forays into the yard. For my needs it's fine. And only needing a single AA is a money saver.

Not terrible but could be more durable.
Updated review after a few months of use: Pros: - Bright. I did not test the lumens and cannot verify if this is really a thousand lumens, but with new batteries it is plenty bright. - Small. Overall small design with a slightly larger head than handle makes this easy to wear and to pull in and out of holsters, but without slipping through aftermarket drop-in holsters. - Included holsters are a great fit and size and don't take much space on my belt. - Included holsters have a belt loop as well as a secondary velcro and snap belt loop so they can be added with or without taking your belt off, or easily taken on and off of various pant loops, pack loops, tool bag straps, etc. Cons: - I've used and killed two of these within a few months. The fittings and adjuster started getting loose after a few weeks. The first got to where it would only stay on if pointed up and the button on the second failed to work after a couple months. - The belt clip on the holster is a bit thin/weak and was looking worn after a few weeks (but it did outlast the flashlight). If you're not moving and climbing around much it could last much longer. ... My conclusion is these are a good light when new and good value if you don't use it often or only need it to work for a week or two. Because I use the flashlights daily, I expected 3-6 months of reliability, but only got 1 or 2 months.

IMPRESSIVE, VERY IMPRESSIVEโฆ FULL REVIEW
I AM IMPRESSED. I was looking specifically for a tactical flashlight with high lumen output, zoom , strobe mode, and most importantly it to allow 18650 lithium battery since I already own a pair. I wasn't in the market for multiple flashlights neither their holsters, I already was gifted with a Duracell 380 and I already own (love) a nice strong nylon beltclip holster I bought at my local Home Depot. I needed to replace my broken Bulbhead tactical flashlight which I used it with a 18650 lithium battery. COSOOS was brought to my attention by Amazon Choice then I verified the customers reviews before any buying move. Well, now to the meat. PROs: (1) Monster XML-T6 CREE LED. When I say โmonsterโ I mean in the blinding bright of range. Please note I am using a 18650 rechargeable lithium 2,600 mAh battery. The brightness is insane. With the zoom-in at maximum level it lights a pitch-black target area at 500m distance just enough for quick searching tasks while at 100m distance a target area can be lighted into daylight, no joke here. (2) The zoom features flood, snap spotlight, and all range in between. Flood is a huge 40 feet diameter circle of blinding light available at maximum zoom-out for close range search. Snap spotlight is a squared spotlight, the โSNAPโ characteristic means it uses some kind of mechanical vacuum hack that makes the zoom do a mechanical straight jump from maximum zoom-out to maximum zoom-in with a little push from your fingers, I didn't know about it and it took me by surprise while I was testing the zoom for the first time, I barely push it out and suddenly it jumped straight to maximum zoom-in, nice feature indeed and very handy. For all between range you just move firmly the zoom along to your preferred range. The squared spotlight is 20ftร20ft in size at a 300m distance and a 10ftร10ft size at a 500m distance. Like I already say, at a 100m distance the squared spotlight brightness is insane. (3) Turn On/Off button is big, enough hard to the push, and it does pronge out big nicely time. This is important because you cycle each of the five flashlight light modes by soft pushing it. The five light modes are Insane Blinding brightness, Less Insane But Still Blinding brightness, Soft brightness, Very Fast Highly Intermittent STROBE to use against attackers or intruders, and S.O.S. Morse Signaling for asking for help. (4) Quality materials and hard shell encasing. (5) PRICE. (6) Holsters were thrown at a bargain to lure more sales and for the price they are a nice addition. Each holster has two thin but strong enough nylon bands for belt or tactical vest attachment, each of these bands is for different attachment configuration, one band is a closed loop to attach the holster to a belt so it can NOT be REMOVED while you have your pants on, whereas the other band is an open loop to be closed locked by a simultaneous combo of snap button with velcro to make the holster very secured to the belt/vest, and to be attacheable and removeable on demand. CONs: Only cons here is related to the holsters, not the flashlights. (1) Flashlight is secured to its holster by an over head nice flap and well locked with velcro. Problem is velcro is very noisy, so you must take extra care if you are in a dare active criminal situation, or a military one, and you need to retrieve your flashlight from its holster in a stealthily move. (2) Flashlight removal from its holster sometimes it's not swift specially from belt and done one handed. Remember, these are not hard panel holsters but still very handy specially if you want to leave your flashlight hanging in a wall in your garage.

Pretty versatile, has multiple uses
Opening statement: first of all, I stumbled upon this product by coincidence. I did not need two flashlights. I was looking for a pouch for my can of mace. A pouch that had a soft belt loop that I could use to attach the pouch to my motorcycle handlebars. Well, the selection of standalone pouches here on Amazon was pretty slim and I stumbled upon this double flashlight pouch combo and it piqued my interest. A quick search gave me the dimensions and they were perfect so I ordered the item. As usual, two-day Prime shipping did not disappoint. Quality: the flashlights seem durable and clear cut, quality of manufacture as expected, no flaws, no jagged edges, no visible imperfections. The light beam focus works well, down to approximately a 1ft square at 15 yards. The light is crisp white clear, just like you'd expect from an LED. Switch works well. Operation: make sure to read the instructions about the hard-press and soft-press to operate all the modes properly. I was pleasantly surprised by the design of the switching logic. The hard press turns the flashlight on & off and it remembers the last mode used. While other flashlights force you to cycle through all their modes to turn them off, this one takes just one hard press. As the listing highlights, batteries are not included. 3 AAAs are needed for each internal pack. The flashlight comes with an attached lanyard that is slightly longer than the apparatus in its collapsed state and shorter in the expanded state. Fits around a man's hand just fine. It's about the right length, IMHO. I like to stow the flashlight into the pouch with the back (switch end) first and allow the lanyard to stick up from the pouch so that when I am retrieving the device, I can immediately insert a finger in the loop and aid in extraction from the pouch while enjoying the security of the lanyard, ensuring that I won't drop the light if I bump anything or so. Speaking of the pouch then, it is not fully enclosed (as visible from stock illustrations). It has two rubber/stretchy fabric sides. That not only provides a snug fit for the flashlight itself but also allows other similarly-sized objects to be stored. The item in the pouch is secured with a Velcro-equipped flap and stays put. The pouch itself has a double-loop on the back to attach to a belt (or other objects). One loop is sewed on, the other has a snap to afford easy removal from its perch. I did not measure the loop length but I would estimate it would fit maybe a 2.5" belt. Pure estimation, don't quote me on that. Personal use: so while this is a pair of pouches for a pair of flashlights, I am utilizing them to hold one flashlight and one can of mace on my motorcycle handlebars. (pictures attached) I installed each pouch easily over the handlebar pipe and snapped the belt loop in. Since handlebar pipes are round and slick, it is understandable that the pouch was inclined to rotate some. Two zip-ties attached to the bottom of the belt-loop were sufficient to keep the pouches in place so that I can open them and retrieve their contents single handed. (while trying to not get bitten by a loose dog etc) Conclusion: quality item for a good price, with versatile pouches and 1-year warranty. Overall a good deal if I don't have to use the warranty.

Cheap & Average item
Price paid for 2 flashlights is worth it. 1,000 Lumen isn't that bright as advertised. Overall, very handy to have both items around the house.
