Amazing feel but very heavy
I’ve gone through many keyboards over the years, but this is my favorite by far to the point that I have one for both at home and at work. The keys are relatively quiet for a mechanical keyboard and have a medium resistance level so I don’t get unexpected presses yet it is still effortless to type. One thing of particular note, though, is that this keyboard is incredibly heavy, by far the heaviest keyboard I’ve ever used. However, that can be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective. It’s not easy to transport, but once you have it in place it isn’t going anywhere, you don’t need to worry at all about this thing sliding around. Note that I’ve used some very nice keyboards in the past such as a Leopold and an Ergodox.

Keychron Q6 Max Review – My Endgame Keyboard
The Keychron Q6 Max is, without a doubt, my endgame keyboard. Coming from a $30 “mechanical” gaming keyboard, the difference is night and day—this is what a real mechanical keyboard should feel like. The full aluminum chassis gives it a premium, rock-solid feel, and the gasket-mounted design makes typing incredibly satisfying with just the right amount of flex. The hot-swappable switches add a layer of customization, but even stock, they feel smooth and responsive. I use it wired-only, so I can’t speak to the Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless, but it’s great knowing the options are there if I ever need them. The wired experience has been flawless—zero lag, ultra-responsive keystrokes, and a typing feel that makes every keystroke satisfying. Compared to my old keyboard, this is a massive upgrade. No more hollow keystrokes or mushy feel or squeaky keys—just pure mechanical bliss. If you want a high-quality, customizable, and premium keyboard, the Q6 Max is absolutely worth it. Final Verdict: 10/10 – This is the one.

Clack clack clack
Clacky clack don’t talk back keys and reliable. Love the sound of this keyboard. Don’t be fooled, it’s a heavy boy too, not for those who like to love their keyboard around or use on their lap. The battery feels like it dies quickly after a year but I don’t mind leaving mine plugged in. Only issue I’ve had is my backspace key misclicks. Going to try to replace switch/clean.

Does not work properly after 2-3 months. DO NOT BUY
I love this keyboard, but I have (3) purchased from Amazon and each and every one works fine for 2-3 months then the problems arise. The "T" especially repeats. I have reset the key switch several times and it does not fix the issue. One has an issue with not recognizing the keys being pressed. I would not recommend this company or keyboard period. There seems to be a multitude of users having the same problems. Supposed to have a warranty but apparently the company does not honor instead I have read that they might send new PCB for you to rebuild yourself if lucky. Terrible for such a high dollar keyboard. I have input this review with a Q6Max QMK/VIA Bluetooth Wireless in the corded configuration and have had to go back and delete an extra "T"s in this review.

Nice
Really happy with it. It’s a solid, heavy mechanical keyboard and the red switches feel and sound great. I like a full keyboard and the stock keycaps, but it is really easy to pop them off with the provided tool if you want to switch them out and customize from there. Out of the box it had the Mac layout installed, but again it was easy to switch to the Windows keys provided too. It’s been great and easy to use. I can’t comment on Keychron’s software, I haven’t had any reason to download it since my computer recognized the keyboard as is. I turned the backlight off using the key commands and haven’t needed to change any settings otherwise. It’s been responsive and I haven’t lost connection once so far. It’s has great battery life too compared to other wireless keyboards I’ve had. I usually only need to charge it once a month, and even less frequently when I’m not on the computer as much. Seems like it will hold up, so it’s been a good upgrade for me.
