JUST THE OTHER DAY , AFTER STRONG WINDS WHERE I LIVE I HAD TO PRUNE A TREE AND THIS ONE ITEM MADE MY LIFE A LITTLE EASIER, INDEED . No problem or complaints. Good axe for the money.

The head fell off after about a week of heavy abuse. It can be repaired with a two part epoxy putty. I still say this is a good deal for anyone chopping for summer firewood, maybe not when you gotta break up a whole tree.

There is one reason for the low score. At end. The Good Considering some of the hardwood I have split with this little beast. It is a very efficient splitting maul. It's light weight only 6.83 lbs. It hits hard with little effort and I've split 20 plus inch diameters with it. It's easy to use for long periods of time splitting and you're not sore after The bad The axe head seems to be coming loose. Once it comes apart it's useless. Considering I have only split less than a full worth of wood. This is very big problem. As it will have to be replaced sooner than reasonable and acceptable.

Love the design

The standards for axes are pretty low, honestly; it has a decently sharp blade and an ergonomic handle. I can’t rate it very highly though because after about a total of 5 hours of use, the wedge shattered and the head snapped off. Thankfully nobody was hurt. Anyway, I would rate it lower, but I think I look pretty cool using an axe, and you can’t put a price on that.

Perfect for chopping wood. Split logs with ease. Manageable weight to swing.
