Works great however when using two dimmers/light strands in close proximity the remotes interfere and dimming one set will often dim both.

Plugged it in with two outdoor strands of light and the functioned great at first. Liked the preset level buttons to quickly set it where you wanted. However when on it caused our stereo to hum when listening to the ballgame on AM station. Then after being on for an hour it suddenly went out on it's own. When I went to check it, it was really hot to the touch, uncomfortably so. The switching circuits in this thing are just not well designed and generate a fair amount of EMC noise as well as heat apparently. Probably why many reviewers report it stops working.

I purchased this specifically to use with an outdoor strand of dimmable LED Edison type lights. This control has 4 brightness settings offering a lot of versatility. It is so nice to be able to keep the strand plugged in and turn off/on using the remote. The item arrive in a secure package and adequate directions.

Okay so I never write reviews, but earlier I felt compelled to review the best product I have purchased on Amazon, and it’s only fair to review the worst! I purchased this dimmer to work with a string of LED bulbs (the ones pictured with this product). The remote has several buttons with preset power levels and what’s supposed to be a gradual dimmer function. The only button that does anything is on/off. This device is incapable of dimming the lights at all which is why I purchased it. So my assumption was that I just received a defective item, so I returned it, and got another of the same item... SAME THING! Only turns lights off and on... does not dim lights as advertised at all. So if you want an on /off switch this is for you, if you need a dimmer don’t bother.

I bought one of these earlier to use with lights I don’t use very often and was happy with the performance. I bought a second dimmer to attach to a light sensor to run for two hours at dusk when I noticed the lights didn’t come on. When I checked the dimmer, it was blazing hot and sitting in dead leaves. I immediately unplugged it and will leave the lights at full brightness until I can find one that doesn’t get so hot.

This dimmer is perfect to match my 110V Edison LED outdoor string lights. It is very convenient to control the outdoor string lights by only a clicking the remote control button. I don't have to frequently turn on/off my string lights in the dark night with bad weather, more importantly, the brightness of the light string can be adjusted according to my mood. You deserve to have!

This is a well made wireless remote control. The quality is quite good, when my hand holds it, I can tell. There are six control moods, on, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, and off. Also the "+" and "-" button allow me to adjust in between. These control buttons allow me to find the perfect level of lightness. Highly recommend it.
