The lamp arrived on time and well packaged. Also it was very easy to assemble. Floor disc has some weight so lamp will not tip over. From the floor to where the flexible neck begins is 48". This is very important if you are placing the light between a headboard and the wall. For me the fit was perfect. The on/off toggle switch is 43" off the floor. This allows for easy access as it clears my headboard by 6". Some lamps have the switch at the base or further down the pole. The flexible neck is 15" long. This allows the light to be aimed any where you want.. There is a hood at the end of the flexible neck and around the bulb which is 3" long. This hood slides down about 1/2" to narrow the beam or back to broaden it. This is neither complicated nor difficult. The light is extremely bright so you may not want the narrowest beam all the time but it is great for fine print. When you slide the hood back the light is still more than bright enough to read by. This allows you to read with an extremely bright light without disturbing anyone else. In addition you may extend the flexible neck straight up and the light will reflect off of a light colored ceiling and provide enough diffused light to allow you to walk around without bumping into anything but not bright enough to read by. Light bulb is not replaceable but life is estimated at 20 years. If I get 10 I will be more than satisfied. Also wattage used is low. I compared the stats/price on 4 or 5 lights and for what I got the price ($131) is reasonable. After using the light for 2 days I ordered a second one for my girlfriend. Highly recommended if you read a lot.

I bought this to use with a Stressless recliner chair. I wanted some direct strong lighting while reading, given my senior aging of my eyes. It turned out to be perfect. Easy to assemble; great lighting; adjustable beam is great; stability is very good and it looks like an expensive floor lamp. It works so well when reading something and being able to narrow and expand the beam is terrific. Sometimes I turn it on just to warm up myself sitting in the chair. I am thinking about buying a second one for my vacation home.

I bought this lamp as a task lamp for my scroll saw. My previous lamps were more of a pain than anything and never seemed to stay put in the position that I set them. The head was also a large 8-inch reflector which always got in the way. Now this LED gooseneck lamp is perfect! The gooseneck flexes into any position and stays where I set it. The small lamp head is unobtrusive and doesn't block my view or get in the workspace where my hands and arms move. The LED is bright and can be focused into different size beams to illuminate all or a portion of the workspace. Also, since it's an LED, you don't get burned when your arm brushes across the lamp head. It's very easy to assemble and doesn't require any tools to do so. For me, this is a wonderful lamp!!! 9/2013 Almost nine months later using this lamp with my scroll saw...and I wouldn't trade it for anything!!! It's bright and unobtrusive which is a dream. Previously, I had a clamp-on lamp and it shook and clanged and got in the way and burned my arm when I got too close. Anyone doing intricate woodworking, sewing or crafts should buy this lamp. You will thank me for the recommendation.

It's a nice floor lamp, perfect for reading. You can adjust the head and pinpoint the light to point to anywhere. It's also bright. It's sturdy and lightweight. The bulb is built-in. Therefore, it cannot be replaced when it burns out. You have to just dispose of the entire light! This is 2025 and we should be reusing. The light is supposed to work for years, so let's hope that's true.

I bought this for my wife and she has been using it as her bedside reading light for a couple months. It is a nice light and the ability to focus the beam means you can adjust the spill of the light - keep it focused brightly on your book or open up the beam for a wider / dimmer light. The head is small so it does not take up too much space and is not too noticeable - the flexible neck helps you get the light to where it needs to be. When I ordered I was worried if it would be bright enough but it is a nice bright reading light.

Arrived when expected and was not disappointed with the quality of the lamp.

This lamp is excellent because it does not take up a lot of space. It fits nicely behind a chair.

Great light for reading. Bought for a senior who likes it. The negative is the light bulb CANNOT be changed. Once it burns out THATS IT. Otherwise, its nice looking and very easy to assemble.
