Simple easy to use

I bought this partly for work to test a 4-20mA loop in a circuit I am working on, but also as a calibrator for my multimeters.This particular unit does not come with a rechargeable battery in it (it is not clear in the description on Amazon), but I found one on eBay which fits perfectly and the box is easy to get apart. I then fine-tuned its calibration via its menu system using a very accurate, calibrated desktop multimeter I have and have. However, it comes reasonably well calibrated to about 0.5% I think.Then I used it to calibrate one of my multimeters with it on the voltage and current ranges since its calibration was 2% off.This is a bargain because the cheapest equivalent I could find was over £200, so ideal for hobbyist.

Love it! Used it to calibrate 4-20mA signal conditioners. Accurate, stable and inexpensive.

This signal generator is easy to use and very handy for checking instrument circuits.Battery last a long time.

i am an application engineer for a diesel engine manufacturer and use this thing constantly to diagnose wiring and check integration of the customers controls to our engine control module. Rechargeable USB is brilliant i have had to run to a store to find a 9V battery for my current clamp at least 2x this year. I checked it against my Fluke 179 and the values are within 2-3 hundredths of a volt which is far better than i need or expected.
