Bought to replace our 6 year-old Asus Chromebit that was EOL in 2020, working fine, but no longer receiving Chrome updates. We used the Chromebit to browse the web and play back YouTube videos on our "not Smart" TV and the Chromebox Micro seems to do that perfectly, hopefully until its EOL in June 2031 (or more). We have a Logitech K400 keyboard/mousepad that we use to wirelessly control it.

I got this for my brother who struggles with basic technology. It replaces a win 10 desktop. So far, it was easy to set up, even though I had to use a search engine to how-to some things. What is most amazing is that I plugged his usb Brother laser printer in, and it set itself up in minutes with no work on my part. BIG improvement over my old chromebook. If you aren't creeped out by google, this is a handy device.

The Software is operating well, this is uncluttered and lightweight but requires some settings manipulation. If you are not running advanced applications then its browser stability will be familiar. Can’t speak to security however it just feels more secure. Google also allows you to use another browser if your not comfortable here.
