The only guide you need for Petra
Very helpful guide for the traveler who doesn't stop along the main route or limit his visit to three hours. This was the only truly helpful guide we used for Petra, and we hiked 8 of the trails listed. The author's suggestions for trails with the amount of time available is excellent.Please don't waste your money on other Petra guides.

Absolutely Worth It!
This book can be a nice travel companion for anyone who wishes to ‘learn in the field’. It is so well written and documented, and it covers everything thoroughly. The author gives even some tips how to best visit the site depending on your time availability. For an archeo-historian as I am, it is a must!

Petra history and walks
If you plan to spend several days in the region this is a good guide to some of the more obscure things to do in the region. The background and history was good, but as a travel guide for a day or two the free info from visit.petra and other sources is probably better.
