So Far So Good
There are cheaper alternatives to the Dorman, but they don't seem to last. The Toyota OEM TPS is about twice the price, unless you want to risk using E B A Y and trusting they are actually new. So I went with the Doorman. The screws that came with the device were barely long enough to reach beyond the collar of the device so I reused the old ones. You have to be careful because the bottom screw is hard to hold onto once it comes out and it easily can fall into the oblivion of the top of the engine where you will be hard pressed to find it. NOTE: You have to turn the device slightly counter clockwise facing the vehicle to get it to line up with the throttle mechanism, and then you turn it a bit to mount it. If you try to rotate it the other way to make it line up you'll find that you locked up the throttle mechanism. The truck is working now and the CEL has turned off.
