It used to be a combination of both coconut and palm. The newer batches are 100% Coconut Oil. Unfortunately I don't know when they made the change.

I'm guessing that it's extremly highly refined since the product is a completely clear liquid but I don't have a coconut allergy so I can't speak for it being completely allergen free.
