Zefal Deflector FM30

I don't know why anyone has given less than a 5 star rating for this mudguard. It's easy to fit, very sturdy and does exactly what it's designed to do. I liked the rubber sleeves that are supplied to go over the cable ties adding protection against paint damage from chafing. Looks great on the bike as well.

Bought one for my mountain bike (Halfords Carrera Fury) to stop water, muck and grit flinging up. It fit well and worked great. I then bought another one which I fitted in the rear wheel to cover from the seat tube down to the bottom bracket. This prevents muck flinging onto the back of my leg and shoes. It took a while to fit it on the back but I managed to figure it out. As you can see from the photos, I also have a rear mudguard which I only fit when the weather starts turning. Otherwise I have these 2 "front" and mudguards fitted at all times. I'm very happy with the performance and quality and would happily recommend. Hope the photos and review was helpful.

Installed on a cheap Carrera that had been converted to electric. It's a tight fit and had to take the front wheel off to actually be able to get it on. Feels secure with the zip ties so I doubt I'll ever have to mess with it again. Fingers crossed it stays good but for now I'm happy with it. Edit a year later: Mudguard has stayed put and is continuing to do it's job very well. Bike has covered over 4000 miles since fitted so it'll probably last forever!.

The deflector/mud guard is a superb choice, it works well to keep mud and debris at bay. Its sturdy construction and easy installation make it a great value for the price. Highly recommended.

Quite solid tbf arrived pretty quick no complaints looks good and zip ties ain't that noticeable

Pretty good but depending on your forks doesn't leave much space for the tyre. Keeps water from splashing up but if you're riding somewhere really muddy it'll start to clog up.

Is was a bit of a faff getting it attached,but it works well and looks great

I have cube e-bike MTB and it fits like a glove, it took me 20 minutes to fit. with plenty of clearance for my 29 inch wheel, and the width was much wider than the one I removed, very good value, made in France.

Fajny błotnik, zakres kół od 26 do 29cali.U mnie akurat 26cali i duża opona.Kupiłem też na tył ale muszę zmienić opony na niższe bo nie mieści się. Mały minus że w transporcie odkształciły się boczne ramiona . Producent powinien zapakować błotnik w karton i wtedy nie było by problemu.

Es un guardabarros muy bien diseñado: es bonito y eficaz. Se fija al puente de la horquilla delantera y a la propia horquilla mediante unas bridas negras que vienen incluidas: para que las bridas no dañen la pintura al apretarlas se incluyen también unas fundas de goma a la medida. El sistema de fijación está muy bien pensado, y una vez colocado no se mueve en absoluto, incluso en terreno accidentado; tampoco vibra ni produce ningún ruido. En el envío se incluyen unas pegatinas de varios colores: rojo pálido, verde claro intenso y azul claro, que se pueden colocar para personalizar el guardabarros. Yo hice la prueba de colocar una de las pegatinas pero el resultado no acabó de convencerme: no porque quedara mal sino porque me gustaba más el guardabarros tal cual, más discreto, en su color negro original. Al retirar la pegatina, comprobé que el adhesivo se quedaba pegado al plástico del guardabarros y me costó retirarlo por completo. Si os sucede esto, la mejor opción es emplear el mismo adhesivo para retirar el adhesivo indeseado: esto es, emplear una de las otras pegatinas que no pensemos utilizar para eliminar a base de toquecitos o "picotazos" el residuo de adhesivo que queramos eliminar. La mejor forma de quitar cualquier resto de pegamento es utilizar el mismo tipo de pegamento. Por cierto, comprobé que con un trozo de cinta de precinto corriente se logra también un buen resultado. Las zonas destinadas a colocar las pegatinas tienen un acabado brillante. Después de eliminar el adhesivo, algunas áreas perdieron el brillo, con un resultado no muy bueno. La solución fue frotar toda la zona con un trapo viejo de algodón por ejemplo: las áreas brillantes perdieron el brillo y el resultado satinado quedó francamente bien. En cuanto a la efectividad del guardabarros, hay que tener en cuenta que no baja mucho, no es muy largo, y al transitar por zonas ambarradas no evita las salpicaduras en la parte inferior de la barra del cuadro, pero sí que te protege a ti de las salpicaduras de agua, barro, o alguna pequeña piedra despedida hacia arriba. Sí recomiendo su compra.
