I have loved this since its 1st release on vinyl in the early 70s - bought it a couple of years ago but it was in Italian (music is excellent) - the fact that this deluxe version is more prices is, to me, immaterial - it has the English version as well as the Italian - fabulous bsnd, fabulous album - don't delay

Words are hard to find regarding this almost flawless album. I feel in love with it in English and Italian when it was originally released and the passion has not subsided in all the intervening years. I realise that a lot of effort has gone into the remastered Italian copy and it is time and effort well spent. The packaging and new liner notes are worth buying this album alone. And just when it can't get any better, there is a decent English version of the album thrown in for free (so it seems). You can tell that the English version is from a decent vinyl but they have worked wonders on the old analogue copy.Don't hesitate and just buy this version of this album.

A memorable album and a must have for all lovers of earthy keyboard led prog rock; the 3 piece ELP inspired band are so,so tight on a wonderfully silly `concept` album about two contrasting planets and their ultimate downfall and destruction. I saw this band play live in 1973 at the infamous Frairs Club in Aylesbury along with Daryl (Curved Air) Way' Wolf. The vinyl record of `F/S` was soon purchased from Earth records in Frairs Sq. This CD collection is well worth having for its superior re-mastering and the Italian vocals/ lyrics. Buy it; you will not be disappointed.

AN ABSOLUTELLY FANTASTIC ALBUM OF ITALIAN PROGROCK OF THE EARLY 70-IES AND SIMPLY ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD PROGRESSIVE ROCK MUSIC. TOGETHER WITH "YS" OF IL BALLETTO DI BRONZO AND "DARWIN!" OF BANCO, THEY'RE PROBABLY THE BEST EXAMPLES OF ITALIAN PROGRESSIVE ROCK OF THE 70-IES. FOR ME THEY ARE ON THE SAME LEVEL AS EL&P, KING CRIMSON, YES, UK, VAN DER GRAAF, GENESIS OR GENTLE GIANT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I bought this 2CD Deluxe Edition mainly because it includes the English version of Le Orme's 1973 album "Felone E Sorona". For that version - entitled "Felona & Sorona" and originally released on Charisma in 1973 - Peter Hammill wrote English lyrics that were for some period unable to find other than on the gatefold cover of that vinyl record.Both versions of this musical piece are interesting for me. The Italian original is brilliant; the English one could be better than it is if they had polished the pronunciation, however I have never met an Italian performer singing without at least slight accent. Both languages are musical, but somehow "musicality" of Italian language creates obstacles for fluent singing in English, in my opinion.On the positive side I would mention the informative and aesthetic aspect: improved audio, laminated triple-fold sleeve with a separate section for the booklet with notes, record label scans, etc. make this package worth buying. I even find it good that different versions are released on separate discs. However, to my great surprise, the source used for the English version was not original master tape but a vinyl copy. I am not sure, but maybe this is because the original master tapes have been lost.... Probably, the digital transfer has been declicked, but vinyl noise still can be heard while playing this CD. Another annoying but short audio problem is found on the Italian version - absolute "vacuum silence" in one of the channels in the beginning of "All'infuori del tempo".Nevertheless, since those who have transferred the vinyl into digit in the past *do have* their files with clicks and pops and jumps and all the attributes of a normal vinyl playback, I think that some light pops and the background noise would not be a big trouble. This is now done for us on some professional (I suppose) equipment and by skilled (I hope) pairs of hands and ears. The strange thing for me is still the fact that same material has been released on vinyl, meaning that plus to the "original" noise'n'pops there will surely be added noise'n'pops while playing the vinyl record on your turntables. Does it make sense?To conclude, I would say that, in my opinion, today this is the best version of "Felona E/& Sorona" on CD to go into your collection, hence (despite all complaints) I rate this product with 5 stars.

Don't need to waste words: listen to the instrumental intro for this concept album, Sospesi nell'incredibile (the first track on this record) and you'll enjoy one of the best instrumental song ever recorded by a prog band in the world. The whole album is pretty good and surely worth buying.

Uno dei dischi più belli e amati delle Orme qui riproposto in vinile color blu. Si tratta però del disco ricantato in inglese, quindi attenzione a decisdere se è questa la versione che vi interessa. Da buon collezionista le ho acquistate entrambe anche se i brani in inglese sono davvero bruttini e mal interpretati (esiste anche la ristama CD deluxe che conteneva l'edizione UK dell'album).Mi sembra come al solito un'operazione puramente commerciale con pochi contenuti "veri" sul piano musicale e audiofilo. Il senso è che non dovete aspettarvi grandi remaster o extra, nemmeno un banale coupon per fare il download dei file. Semplicemente una riedizione colorata per collezionisti, sicuramente molto bella da vedere e da avere (ma qui dipende dal vostro grado di affezione).Se proprio vogliamo criticare queste operazioni, in Italia siamo specializzati nel mal gesetire il repertorio prog (e non solo quello) con riedizioni discutibili (per non dire orride) anche di Banco, PFM, ecc. con vinili di pessima qualità, nessun remaster VERO pensato per il vinile, copertine ristampate maldestramente con tecnica simil-fotocopia e terrificanti sticker stampati direttamente sulle copertine (vedi il Banco).Insomma, nessuno vi obbliga a comprare un vinile colorato ma si può pretendre un po' più di cura su queste ristampe.

„Felona E Sorona“ heißt das vierte Studioalbum der italienischen Progressive Rock Band Le Orme. Es wurde im Jahr 1973 auf dem Plattenlabel Philips Records veröffentlicht. „Felona E Sorona“ ist ein Konzeptalbum und handelt von zwei Planeten, die sich umkreisen. Zunächst ist Felona der schöne und blühende Planet, während auf Sorona mehr Dunkelheit und Vergänglichkeit herrscht. Dieser Zustand kehrt sich später um. Ein Jahr nach dem Erscheinen des Albums wurde auch eine englischsprachige Version mit Texten von Peter Hammill veröffentlicht, die dann den Namen „Felona and Sorona“ trug.Auf „Felona E Sorona“ hört man keine Gitarren, es gibt keine. Die Musk ist stark Keyboard-lastig gehalten, klingt an mancher Stelle sphärisch, ohne dabei den rockigen Ansatz völlig aufzugeben. Le Orme, was auf Deutsch „Die Fußspuren“ bedeutet, hören sich deutlich weniger frickelig und verspielt an, als viele der italienischen Kollegen des Progressive Rock der 70er Jahre. Dafür klingt die Musik allerdings um einiges eingängiger und melodiöser als die meisten Platten, die in Italien in etwa zur selben Zeit und im selben musikalischen Genre veröffentlicht wurden. Gleich beim ersten Mal des Hörens setzen sich die Harmonien in der Musik von Le Omre im Ohr fest. Alles auf „Felona E Sorona“ klingt melodiös – ohne Ausnahme. Durchbrochen werden diese harmonischen Klänge nur durch einige eher sphärische Ausflüge, die dann entspannte Atmosphären transportieren.Höhepunkte auf „Felona E Sorona“ zu benennen ist nicht ganz einfach, da die Lieder ineinanderfließen und eben allesamt wirken. Nun, das längste Stück der Platte und gleichzeitig der Opener „Sospesi Nell’Incredibile“ überzeugt durch seine Abwechslung, die sich durch unterschiedliche Passagen manifestiert. Die Lieder „L’Equilibrio“ sowie „Attesa Inerte“ überzeugen dagegen durch wunderschöne Melodiösität, die hier vielleicht noch ein wenig stärker ausgeprägt ist, als bei den anderen Titeln. Sicherlich ist dies allerdings reine Geschmackssache.Fazit: Wer die melodiöse Ausprägung des Progressive Rock mag, die oder der sollte mal ein Ohr bei Le Omre und ihrer Platte „Felona E Sorona“ riskieren. Auf dem Album klingt alles sehr stimmig, eingängig und melodiös. Dabei fällt es überhaupt nicht auf, dass die Platte ohne die Beteiligung einer einzigen Gitarre eingespielt wurde. Ein kleiner Nachteil ist allerdings die sehr kurze Laufzeit des Albums. Ein wenig mehr als etwas über eine halbe Stunde Spieldauer hätte es schon sein dürfen.

Le recensioni che ho trovato in realtà mischiano un po tra il vinile e la ristampa in cd rimasterizzato con il cd della versione inglese a completamento della deluxe edition. Per la versione deluxe del cd concordo con gli ottimi pareri e con le 5 stelle. Per quanto riguarda questa versione in vinile uk devo dire cge mi sembra un po una occasione persa. Bello il packaging con un vinile blu/azzurro con la mitica etichetta charisma. Deludente invece l'ascolto. Qualità di registrazione non eccelsa con pochi dettagli. Voglio precisare che ho confrontato questo lp con quello originale italiano stampato da philips distribuzione phonograph acquistato nel lontano 1981. Tra i 2 prodotti non c'è storia. Vince a mani basse l' edizione italiana. Qualità sonora nettanente superiore e oer certi versi preferibile alla versione in cd. Questo è il motivo delle 3 stelle date principalmente per la possibilità di avere la registrazione versione uk su lp anche se il riversamento (non so se a causa dei master originali o dalla versione btf) lascia un po di amaro in bocca. Consigliabile solo ai veri appassionati e collezionisti delle orme più per la presentazione del prodotto rispetto alla qualità dell'incisione.

Bellissimi ricordi della mia gioventù negli anni '70. Musiche indimenticabili e comunque attualissime. La musica Pop di oggi non è certo paragonabile a questo album.

Ho ricopmprato l'lp poichè avevo dato via (stupidamente) sia l'edizione italiana che l'inglese... Il confezionamento è abbastanza buono, il contenuto artistico è indiscutibile ma - sì, c'è un ma - l'operazione di riversamento sul vinile mi ha lasciato molto perplesso... Il vinile è rumoroso, il suono a volte mi sembra distorto e senza dinamica. In definitiva è inutile proporre edizioni numerate, vinile 180g e altri abbellimenti se quando sollevi la puntina dal disco rimpiangi la versione 1973!!! Ripeto: che peccato, commesso poi dalla Universal, non dall'ultima casa a conduzione famigliare!!!!

Album phare du groupe! C'est un classique du prog italien. Bien qu'une version anglaise existe, je vous recommande celle en italien ne serait-ce que pour le plaisir du dépaysement et se plonger dans l'univers du groupe. La qualité d'enregistrement est très correcte.

El disco es buenísimo pero quedé totalmente defraudado cuando Amazón me envío la versión en Inglés.De este disco hay dos versiones, la original en Italiano Ref : VMLP 175 y la versión que grabaron para Inglaterra cantada en Inglés Ref: VMLP 178Amazon no da la descripción en su web, así que no sabes cual te van a mandar. Yo tuve mala suerte y me enviaron la versión en inglés, que les devolví inmediatamente.

È un album che ha fatto scuola, il progressivo per eccellenza, un capolavoro delle Orme del 1973 conosciuto anche all'estero. Dal punto di vista della qualità audio non è il massimo non comprendo come mai non si è provveduto ad una rimasterizzazione come merita. Comunque è un CD assolutamente da acquistare

Acquistato in vinile, per rivivere le emozioni di uno dei più bei momenti della musica italiana. Le aspettative non sono rimaste deluse.

Questa recensione non è solo riferita ad Aldo, Tony e Miki ma al magazziniere che ha prelevato la versione italiana in CD già in mio possesso da una vita, invece di quella inglese con i testi tradotti dal grande Peter Hammill dei VDGG, Sto ancora aspettando, sia l'articolo corretto che il ritiro di quello sbagliato, pronto imballato con il suo bel codice SDA. Che dire, anche Amazon non è esente da errori come tutti noi mortali, d'altronde la perfezione non è di questo mondo, Grande rispetto per le Orme e per Aldo Tagliapietra e i Maestri di musica, che quest'estate ci hanno regalato una versione dal vivo della loro opera prog al parco San Giuliano di Mestre da brividi. erano altri tempi ! Se volete immergervi nel passato, riascoltare le sonorità di allora e godervi del rock sperimentale di questo importantissimo gruppo della storia della musica italiana...non abbiate dubbi, è un album imperdibile

Consegna tempestiva, prodotto ottimo, molto bello, cd nuovo, ascolto perfetto, mi stupisco che un prodotto italiano arrivi dall'estero. Lo consiglierei a qualsiasi fan delle ORME.

Felona e Sorona è il massimo capolavoro delle Orme e il massimo capolavoro, insieme a Storia di un Minuto della Premiata Forneria Marconi, del Rock Progressivo italiano. Non credo ci sia altro da dire; dicono già tutto le Orme con questo disco.

Prodotto come in descrizione, tempi puntuali. Parlando dell'album è un capolavoro della musica prog italiana che tutti gli appassionati dovrebbero avere

Qualità audio scadente .Attenzione è la versione in lingua inglese.Non so se può interessare ai collezionisti , per me è stata una delusione , gia messo nella lista : errori di acquisto.
