That screen!
So this is my first Android gaming handheld, and I can honestly say I am hooked! After following the many guides and tutorials from YouTube, this handheld has become my go to for just about everything! Battery life is amazing, the controls a good, and that screen!! Absolutely gorgeous! This is definitely a great value for the money.

Didn't receive what I paid for in game library
I Ordered one that should have come with 16000 games when I received it, it was no where near that many more like 4000. Device is good. But I could have paid less elsewhere for the same thing. Only ordered this one because on the game library. Graphics are great it plays most games and systems pretty well some higher end games can be a bit choppy. Screen size is also a plus, good size. If you are comfortable with android than it is easy to use, other than that you may need a tutorial.

Great for those who love Android (not so great for those who love Linux)...
As far as larger handhelds go for the price, this is definitely Anbernic's best value at the moment. It has a big, beautiful screen, good buttons and build, and it feels great in your hands. My only complaint is that it runs on Android OS, making it much clunkier and less specialized than the cheaper, smaller handhelds running on Linux-based alternatives. Pros: - AMOLED Screen. It's quite frankly the best screen Anbernic has placed on any of their devices to date. It also happens to be touch-screen, and it works flawlessly. - Build. Like everything Anbernic, the RG556 is no different when it comes to quality. The device itself feels great (has a smooth yet solid matte plastic finish). The analog sticks, shoulder buttons and face buttons are all great. The D-pad is fine, except it strangely has a gloss finish, which I haven't experienced on a D-pad since Sega Genesis. - Performance. This is pretty much where this device shines. It can play pretty much anything emulated all the way up to Game Cube and Wii with little to no hiccups. So, yes, it's quite powerful. - Storage. For the first time, this Anbernic device has actual internal storage (128GB) plus an expansion slot for second SD card, if you're so inclined. So plenty of space for games and whatever else. - Battery. So far, the battery does pretty well, depending on what you're playing and how you're running it. There are tons of power saving options, and it even has a built-in fan for more intense applications. Cons: - OS. For me, this is sort of the deal breaker in the end. I'm NOT a big fan of Android. I find it clunky and not altogether intuitive. Yes, you can set up Daijisho front end, but I'm not even a fan of that. So you're basically married to whatever is available in the GooglePlay store. - Portability. Yeah, not so much. Honestly, any device that doesn't fit in a pocket isn't really that portable. But you could certainly put this in a backpack or something. UPDATE: I have to say that this device has really grown on me! In fact, it’s now the BEST Android device I own, especially for playing games. The OLED screen is really magnificent. And now that I’ve learned Daijisho, an excellent emulation front end solution, I’m in love with this handheld and it’s my go-to portable device. Now FIVE STARS

Why can't we give 0 starz...
Don't know what's going on with quality control here. Received my item and packaging was great. 5 stars on that hands down. This is a gift for my son's birthday as he can finally play Roblox, controller style without running his PS4 and TV for hours 🤦🏽♂️ Long story short, first thing I tested was the app named "gamepad tester" and noticed the left directional pad as well as the L2 trigger buttons were non responsive. I put it right back in the box. Requested the return. And bought a other since my kids birthday is still about 20 days away. Really hoping the next is FULLY FUNCTIONAL.
