Saatva Cloud Memory Foam Pillow - King, 1 Pack

This is a mega soft, super fluffy big king size pillow. The pillow comes in a heavy plastic zippered bag for dust free storage. There is also a light zippered otganic cotton knit cover over the pillow. This pillow is 18" by 34", which is a little smaller than the king size shams from Oeto-tex Thread Spread. I was able to just fold in the extra cloth, and the shams still look great on this pillow. This pillow cannot be machine washed, nor can it be dry cleaned. The company recommends that just spot clean with a mild soap, rinse thoroughly, squeeze out any and all excess water and then air dry. This pillow says that it is assembled in the USA. I sit in a recliner most of the day. In order to maximize my comfort, I also put a pillow under my knees. I have a toy poodle with whom I have shared my regular size pillow for several years. Now, with this much bigger, much softer king size pillow, I have plenty of room to have both my legs on the pillow, and my darling toy poodle can still stretch her body out, taking up far more room than you could possibly imagine a time 9 lb dog can take, and she Loves HER new king size fluffy cloud memory foam pillow! And I enjoy having just a bit more room to fit both my legs in such wonderful comfort!

This is a luxury pillow, with a price to match. However looking at the details, it makes sense why it has a more premium price. Right from the start the pillow is ready to go as it arrives in a box, so you dont need to waste precious hours of sleep waiting for it to degas and to fluff up. It comes in an easy to wash cover which I washed first thing. I will say the zipper on the cotton case is a little small can getting the pillow back into the case can be a little difficult due to the weight of this pillow. It is very heavy and very dense. After sleeping on it for a week, I find this to be a very comfortable pillow. It does not get hot at night (granted the weather is cooler now), so i dont find myself getting too sweaty. I have had no neck or shoulder pains using this pillow. I am a back and side sleeper, and this pillow works for both, though i do wish it was a little less dense and a little more cushy at times. It works great when im side sleeping. I think the only con i can think of is if you really do prefer a cushier fluffier pillow that is more downy, you wont get that with this pillow. Overall I enjoyed it and was happy that it was ready for the get go and didnt require any adjusting for me.

This memory foam pillow provides a lot of support, which is another, positive way of saying it is quite dense. If you like a soft fluffy pillow, this is not it. But if you need a pillow that bounces back and provides consistent support night after night, this pillow is a good choice. Unfortunately, I prefer my pillows to be loftier (the word "cloud" in the description made me think it was softer). The material is well made, befitting the price tag and brand. I appreciate the removable, washable cotton cover but I'm a little bothered the main pillow is only spot clean. If there are any spills/sweat on the pillow I imagine it'd seep pass the cotton cover, so having a pillow where you can't toss the whole thing in the wash feels icky. If you don't have any issue with being unable to wash the pillow then this would be 4 stars. For me though, too firm and inability to wash makes it 3 stars.

I am always on the lookout for better sleep and the pillow plays a factor in that as well. I have tried many memory foam pillows in the past and I will say that this one is my favorite as foam pillows go. That is not say that it is my favorite overall pillow though. If you are a person that likes a lot of loft in your pillow, this is not that. I find this to be about the perfect amount of loft, in that, I am able to find comfort in all positions on the back, side or stomach. If there is too much loft I can't do that. I will say that on my side, it could use just a smidgen more loft as my neck is not in the exact alignment for my spine and head, but it is closer than some others I have tried. This pillow is dense and thus, it is a very heavy pillow. When I first opened it, I thought it may have gotten wet as it was so heavy, and I kept feeling it and smelling it to make sure it wasn't damp or mildewy. It was not. I was able to sleep on it the first night I received it and since then, I have not awakened with any pains that some pillows can give me. I will say also that this pillow is quiet. It doesn't make any noises in my ears when I am moving around even when wearing a cpap mask. Overall, it is a decent pillow, but I think it could easily be half the selling price. This year I decided to upgrade my entire bedding game: great sheets, amazing duvet, and now pillows. This memory-foam pillow was a major splurge, so I had high expectations---and they were mostly fulfilled. The pillow looks, feels, and even smells luxurious. The stitching and fabric of the cover are quality. It is supportive but doesn't feel hard like some memory foam pillows I've owned. I find it comfortable for both back- and side-sleeping, but it's a little too lofted for stomach-sleeping. My one star off is for the claim that it's "temperature neutral." I'm naturally a hot sleeper, and that's always been my complaint with memory foam bedding. I hoped this pillow would be different in this regard, but it honestly wasn't any cooler to me at all. Disappointing.
